NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix Driver 581.47 for Windows released
NVIDIA has recently made available GeForce Hotfix Driver 581.47, compatible with both Windows 10 (64-bit) and Windows 11. This release addresses a specific issue where games might crash if the game's directory contains Chinese characters while Smooth Motion is enabled.
The GeForce Hotfix driver serves as an expedited means to deliver targeted fixes to users more quickly, without requiring the lengthy process of creating a full-fledged driver update. These drivers are essentially similar to their predecessors, with only a limited number of additional bug fixes included. User feedback from Driver Feedback threads influences the selection of these fixes, as does the ability of NVIDIA engineers to promptly address them.
The fixes incorporated into this hotfix will eventually be integrated into the upcoming official driver release, at which point the hotfix driver will no longer be available for download. Users should note that GeForce Hotfix drivers are considered beta software and provided on an as-is basis. Due to their abbreviated quality assurance process, it is crucial for users to understand that they may not offer the same level of stability as official, WHQL-certified drivers.
