APH Networks: Fractal Design Epoch Black TG RGB Light Tint Review

How do we choose where to eat lunch after church service on Sundays? This is a question often asked in our friend group, and a pattern emerged over time: We basically end up going to one of three restaurants every week. There are other restaurants a subset of us like, but not necessarily everyone. For example, many of us like the Korean fried chicken place nearby, but one guy avoids it so much that if we do end up going there, he just buys takeout from the pho place next door. Most of us also like dim sum, but a few in a group do not react to MSG so well, so that often gets vetoed. There are also those who like shawarma, and while I would eat it, it is not my preference. So to put it in the simplest way possible, the restaurants that we visit the most are the ones where we can all agree on -- ones that are not necessarily the most exciting, but rather the safest selection for food we can all enjoy. In a lot of ways, this is how I feel about Fractal Design products. I have been covering cases from the company since 2011 beginning with the Define R3, and for the last fourteen years, I never had a bad item from them. Fractal Design does not make the most exciting or cutting edge chassis, but when you see the badge, you also know you will get a thoughtfully designed, high quality product that will stand the test of time. Today, we have yet another computer case from Fractal Design, the Epoch Black TG RGB Light Tint. Will the latest from the company continue the tradition of excellent cases? Read on to find out!

APH Networks: Cooler Master Hyper 411 Nano Review

Being an adult seemed so grand and spectacular until I became one myself. When I was a child in elementary school, grown-ups were just big and scary creatures to me. As my brain slowly developed and I entered junior high, I began to think all adults were wise because they were older. Whether they are ten years or thirty years older, I categorized all of them to be the same. I thought once I became an adult, life would make sense, and I would have the answers to all my problems. It was when I reached the official age of adulthood in Canada at 18 years old that I realized something was off. Did my brain stop developing? I certainly hope not. I was still too young, so I thought I needed to be a working-class citizen before I would become wise and proper like a true adult professional. My expectations were once again challenged when I started my internship. While working with people who were more than double my age, I realized we were quite similar. I noticed they did not see themselves in that way despite them being much wiser, smarter, and more experienced than I am. They also struggled with imposter syndrome even with all their expertise. They also enjoyed being goofy as much as I did, which I thought was inappropriate for professionals. It was during that year I got a better sense of what people mean when they say age is just a number and bigger is not necessarily better. I do wonder, does the same logic apply to today's review unit of the Cooler Master Hyper 411 Nano, a CPU air cooler designed for small form factor builds? Is bigger the better, or will this small compact cooler perform just as great as the big ones? Keep reading to find out!

It is interesting to see how traditions are started and kept along the years. This past weekend was our annual church Summer Conference held in Olds, Alberta. Both my colleague Jonathan Kwan and I have written many review introductions in the past about this, such as the Antec Performance 1 FT. Once again, we drove out to the small town a bit early so we could go into town and see local attractions like Canadian Tire and Walmart. Just like ten years back when Jonathan bought motor oil discussed in the Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB introduction, we did the same thing again. We also walked around Walmart and bought a few snacks. Other traditions include late night McDonald's runs, instant noodles, and playing card games like Dutch Blitz. On the other hand, there were a couple of firsts this year. For one, there were less talks and more time to get to know others, whether this was part of evening sessions or during free time. I enjoyed these elements, and I hope we see this trend continue going forward. We also got more rain during the weekend, although this was less in our control, haha. Overall, it was another relaxing and enjoyable conference. In an analogous way, Epomaker has also followed along with the current traditions or trends in the keyboard market. We have recently seen more Epomaker magnetic keyboards, whether they are using Hall effect or inductive switches. Today, we have a wireless Hall effect switch keyboard in the form of the Epomaker HE75 Mag. How will this keyboard compare to our previous Epomaker keyboards? Will we find new positives that may kick off new traditions? Let us read on to find out!

APH Networks: AVerMedia Live Gamer ULTRA S GC553Pro Review

A couple of weeks have passed since my birthday, and it seemed to pass pretty quietly. I spent most of the day celebrating on my own, as there was a church camp happening that weekend. Part of me was grateful for this, as I wanted isolated time without people before the busy weekend. However, I also felt a bit mixed and lonely. On one hand, I did not want people to make a big deal about it. Everyone has a birthday one day of the year, so you will likely forget other peoples' birthdays. On the other hand, I also remember a previous camp where they surprised me with a cake. It may have felt a bit embarrassing to get so much attention in the moment, but I also remember and appreciate that time deeply. I think I was also baited because when I was helping them shop for camp food, they purchased multiple cakes, which made me think something was up. This is not to discount my appreciation for those who did wish me well, whether in person or over text on the day of, and made me feel more grateful for those who actually remembered. I think as you get older, these celebrations only happen when you make it for yourself rather than hoping others will do something. In a similar vein, I recall several years back thinking I could stream my video gaming for others to watch. However, I quickly realized this turned gaming into a chore. Fast forward to today, and my streaming career is quite nonexistent, as I found it hard to maintain a schedule. Streaming as a whole is still a thriving and many are still doing well at it, but those that do are committed in making it a spectacle for others to watch. Today, AVerMedia has a new product in the form of the Live Gamer ULTRA S GC553Pro, which is an external capture card that may be good as an option to capture console gaming. If you have the time and commitment, the Live Gamer ULTRA S GC553Pro seems like a great option, but what is it like to use? Let us find out together!
