Microsoft has released an updated version of Visual Studio Code, version 1.104.1, which addresses several issues that were identified as probable candidates for fixing in the next release. The update includes a backport fix for CVE-2025-10585, indicating that the underlying security vulnerability has been resolved.

Additionally, this new version resolves several user experience issues and bugs reported by VS Code Team members. For instance, one of the fixed problems was related to missing or incorrectly provided telemetry data for already installed chat installation types.

Moreover, an issue with connecting to Azure ML remote instances, which was caused by authentication platform issues, has been resolved in this update. Furthermore, a bug that prevented release notes from displaying table of contents (TOC) in the product has also been fixed.

Other bugs addressed in this version include one related to automatic model selection not being disabled when preview features are disabled via GitHub policy. These fixes aim to enhance the overall user experience and stability of Visual Studio Code.
