Visual Studio Code 1.108.2 released
A new update is available for Visual Studio Code 1.108.2, bringing much-needed fixes to several issues that had been causing frustration among users.
A big part of the focus seems to be on Cloud Agents support. There are updates related to model agents' and partner agents' functionality. Specifically, a pre-release option for Partner Agent integration has landed, so you can probably find it behind one of those toggle switches somewhere. It lets early adopters try things out without affecting everyone immediately.
On the other hand, macOS users have reported a specific issue: when they wake up VS Code after their laptops go idle or sleep, it sometimes fails to load certain parts of the interface screen properly initially. You know, maybe some panels or sections just don't show up until you hover over empty grey areas? It can be annoying if it happens repeatedly.
However, today's update also addresses this macOS display bug. Hopefully, this resolves a frustrating experience for some people who use Apple machines and rely on smooth performance from VS Code.
So overall, this latest release tackles two main fronts: improving Cloud Agents features (especially partner agents) by enabling pre-release exploration while also fixing an annoying macOS wake-up rendering issue reported by users. If you're using the affected areas or run into that macOS problem, it's worth grabbing the new version.
