This update includes security and quality improvements that were a part of updates KB5058379 (released May 13, 2025) and KB5061768 (released May 19, 2025). [Hyper-V Platform] Fixed: An issue in the direct send path for a guest physical address (GPA). This issue caused confidential virtual machines running on Hyper-V with Windows Server 2022 to intermittently stop responding or restart unexpectedly. As a result, service availability was affected, and manual intervention was required. This problem primarily impacted Azure confidential VMs

Microsoft has issued two out-of-band updates for Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021. The initial update resolves a problem in the direct send path for a guest physical address (GPA), which led to confidential virtual machines operating on Hyper-V with Windows Server 2022 intermittently becoming unresponsive or restarting unexpectedly.
