Microsoft has released Windows 10 KB5063159 (OS Build 19045.5968) as an out-of-band update, incorporating fixes and quality enhancements from the earlier update KB5060533. This update addresses the start failure issue encountered by Surface Hub v1 devices. Surface Hub v1 devices receive the update instead of KB5060533. Microsoft integrates the most recent servicing stack update (SSU) with the latest cumulative update (LCU) to enhance the reliability of the update process and implement quality improvements to the servicing stack.

Summary

Important: Use EKB  KB5015684 to update to Windows 10, version 22H2.

This update includes fixes and quality improvements that were a part of update  KB5060533 (released June 10, 2025). 

This update prevents Surface Hub v1 devices from encountering a start failure issue. The start failure issue was observed when some Surface Hub v1 devices installed the update  KB5060533. On June 11, 2025, we paused the update  KB5060533 offering for Surface Hub v1 to prevent new devices from experiencing the failure. If your device was affected by this issue, track the investigation and remediation progress at  Surface Hub v1 fails to start with error, "Secure Boot Violation".

This out-of-band update (KB5063159) is offered to Surface Hub v1 devices instead of update  KB5060533.

If you installed earlier updates, only the new updates contained in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.

Windows 10 servicing stack update (KB5063158) - 19045.5967

Microsoft now combines the latest servicing stack update (SSU) for your operating system with the latest cumulative update (LCU). SSUs improve the reliability of the update process to mitigate potential issues while installing updates.
