Key Features in the Gradual Rollout:

  5. File Explorer Enhancements:
    • AI actions allow for image editing (Visual Search, Blur Background, Erase Objects, Remove Background) and document summarization (for OneDrive/SharePoint files).
    • The context menu has been updated to remove accent-colored backplates behind packaged app icons for improved visibility.
    • Underlying changes improve performance for launching cloud files and loading context menus.
Additional Features:
  1. Windows Share: Users can now pin their favorite apps for quick access.
  2. Emoji Update: The Emoji 16.0 release adds new emojis, including Face with Bags Under Eyes, Fingerprint, Root Vegetable, Leafless Tree, Harp, Shovel, and Splatter.
  3. Advanced Settings: The Advanced settings page has been redesigned to include features like File Explorer + version control, showing Git details directly in File Explorer.
  4. Automatic Super Resolution (Auto SR): On Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs, Auto SR for gamers offers simplified settings for improved visual quality and potential integration with Game Bar.
Input, Narrator, and Accessibility Features:
  1. New Keyboard Shortcuts: Users can now insert en dashes (Win + Minus) and em dashes (Win + Shift + Minus).
  2. Narrator Improvements: Braille Viewer has been added to display on-screen text and its Braille equivalent on a refreshable Braille display.

Security and Settings Features:

  1. Passkeys: Seamless plugin passkey provider integration allows users to use plugin credential managers via Settings > Accounts > Passkeys > Advanced options.
