Windows 11 KB5067036 (OS Builds 26200.7019 and 26100.7019) Preview released
Microsoft has released a preview of Windows 11 KB5067036 (OS Builds 26200.7019 and 26100.7019) for Windows 11 25H2 and 24H2. This release is available through two distinct phases: gradual rollout and normal rollout.
A gradual rollout delivers updates in stages, ensuring that features reach devices over time rather than all at once. This approach allows for a more controlled introduction of new capabilities, with availability varying depending on the device. In contrast, a normal rollout represents a broad release to all eligible devices simultaneously, typically when an update reaches general availability (GA).
The gradual rollout of KB5067036 brings several key enhancements and fixes to Copilot experiences and AI-powered Windows 11 PC features. These improvements focus on performance optimization, user experience refinement, and the integration of AI-driven capabilities.
One significant addition is Click to Do, a feature that streamlines interaction with Copilot. This tool now includes a prompt box that enables users to type custom prompts directly into the text box, sending their input along with selected on-screen content to Copilot for processing. The prompt box also offers suggested prompts, powered by Phi-Silica and available in English, Spanish, and French.
Click to Do has been further enhanced with several new features:
- Users can now translate on-screen text using Microsoft Copilot when selecting text in a different language than their Windows display language or preferred setting.
- Click to Do provides unit conversion capabilities, allowing users to convert measurements such as length, area, volume, height, temperature, and speed.
- A new gesture has been added, enabling users to open Click to Do by pressing and holding two fingers anywhere on the Copilot+ PC touchscreen.
- Freeform Selection, Rectangle Selection, and Ctrl + click are now available for selecting objects in Click to Do.
Additionally, Microsoft 365 Live Persona Cards can be viewed in Click to Do when an email address from a user's organization is pressed with the Windows key. Visual cues have also been implemented to highlight key items on the screen as users open Click to Do.
Other notable features and fixes include:
- Fluid Dictation in voice access has been improved, providing smoother and more intelligent voice-based dictation.
- A delay can now be configured before a voice command is executed.
- Voice access supports Japanese, expanding accessibility for users who speak this language.
- The agent in the Settings experience has been updated to support French.
The normal rollout of KB5067036 includes quality improvements and fixes for key issues. These changes address problems related to authentication, display, installation, media, networking, and screen readers.
In terms of security updates, the release addresses several critical vulnerabilities, including an issue that caused an ACCESS_DENIED error when changing passwords remotely on member servers or workgroup devices. Additionally, the update resolves a problem affecting the Kerberos Key Distribution Center (KDC) service on server domain controllers.
