Windows 11 KB5067112 (OS Build 22621.6133) Preview released
Microsoft has rolled out the KB5067112 Preview (OS Build 22621.6133) for Windows 11 23H2, bringing forth quality enhancements to the operating system.
The recently released update does not pertain to security but focuses on addressing various issues and introducing new features to further improve user experience. It's essential to note that users seeking to upgrade to Windows 11 23H2, should utilize EKB KB5027397 for a seamless transition.
Following installation of the KB5067112 Preview, users can expect improvements in several key areas. One notable resolution involves addressing an issue related to the touch keyboard, which would fail to input characters into text fields upon device wake-up from sleep. The problem stemmed from the lack of registered key presses while animations appeared correctly on the screen.
Another significant enhancement focuses on resolving a network connectivity issue that occurred when external virtual switches lost their physical Network Interface Card (NIC) bindings and transformed into internal switches after host restarts. The incorrect detection of orphaned virtual switch objects during Host Network Service startup triggered this problem.
This update has also introduced a new feature in Windows 11, allowing users to enable Personalized Offers within the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) during device setup and subsequently access this setting through Settings once they've reached their desktop environment.
The KB5067112 Preview further includes an essential fix for a problem that caused connectivity errors during upgrades of Azure Stack Hub or Azure Local clusters due to affected disk communication. Users who have already installed earlier updates will only need to download and install the latest package, which only includes new modifications.
