Modular Power Supplies: The Reality of the Resistance
Motherboards.org posted a PSU guide

Now please keep in mind that this article is in no way a power supply review. You have not just witnessed some sort of weird five-way power supply shootout. There are so many good things to say about ALL of the power supplies I used today. For example, the voltage drop going from 0A to 11A on both the Antec NeoHE and Corsair HX620W was actually LESS than the FSP600-80GLC power supply with fixed cables. But the focus of today's article was to simply clarify some of the fuzzy math used to create fud over modular power supplies, therefore we focused primarily on the drop from the power supply's PCB to the load.

Seagate 7200.10 750GB HDD
Bytesector takes a look at the Seagate 7200.10 750GB HDD

Seagate has released the latest solution to the storage issue-a whopping 750GBs in a 3.5" enclosure which promises to be a viable storage device for many people (when they put four of them into their computer). At one point in the not so distant past, size prevented manufacturers from building a hard drive larger than 500GBs. Seagate took advantage of an emerging technology called Perpendicular Recording Technology, which allows them to put more sectors per square inch of platter surface area.

OCZ PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha VX2 2x1GB Review
PC Modding Malaysia has posted a review on the OCZ PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha VX2 2x1GB memory

Overall, OCZ redefines DDR2 overclocking with the return of Voltage eXtreme series. Being the first DDR2 to bear the VX2 tag, the PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha kit is designed for overclockers. Physically, the PC2-8000 VX2 looked like it came from out of space and you will definitely love if you like to pimp your rig. Based on the infamous Micron D9GMH memory ICs, these modules is rated at 500MHz CL4-4-4-15 It works as advertised and our benchmark results prove that DDR1000 does bring a slight improvement over DDR800. Although we did not hit the magic 600MHz mark, we did manage clock it up to 562MHz at CL5 but it was not "Prime" stable. For 24/7 operation, we found 550MHz at CL5 to be the maximum overclock as the modules showed excellent stability during our 11 hours stress test on our setup. Priced at about $489 / RM1800, the PC2-8000 VX2 kit is quite pricey but you will be covered up to 2.52V though. If you are looking at getting a new 2GB DDR2 kit for your high-end AM2 or Conroe setup with plans of overclocking and overvolting, the OCZ PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha VX2 2GB kit is worth checking out, provided if you have a 490 bucks budget just for the RAM. However when you crank it up to 2.5V, you can be rest assured that OCZ will cover you down the road!

ATi Interview
Driver Heaven published an interview with Dave Orton, ATi CEO

One of the largest mergers in Technology history will be the forthcoming AMD takeover of ATI. We spoke last week with Jon Carvill one of AMD's senior staff and today ATI CEO Dave Orton was generous enough to grant me some time to talk with him. I have had a few one on one sessions with Dave in the past and he is very passionate about the products ATI has made in his time leading the company and it would also be safe to say he is very confident with the direction this AMD/ATI merger is going to take.

Zalman CNPS8000 on Core 2 Duo
BCC Hardware tried the Zalman CNPS8000 on Core 2 Duo

We’ve just taken some time to look at the CNPS8000 from Zalman. This cooler is much shorter than the CNPS9500 series, and a whole bunch smaller and lighter than the 7700 series. It uses four heatpipes and 62 fins to cool down your toasty processor. It’s made for AMD’s socket 754, 939 and 940 (AM2 & Operton) and will also strap on the Intel LGA775 processors. Take a look and see if this little beauty is for you.
