Audio-Technica ATH-EW9 Headphones Review
CoolTechZone.com posted a review on the Audio-Technica ATH-EW9 Headphones

Since there are many niche companies that provide excellent earphones and headphones, it becomes increasingly difficult to narrow down the hundreds of high-end products that will better suit your needs. Besides the number of designs, customization options and price points, it’s important to consider the type of music you generally listen to.

Freespire 1.0 Review
Linux Forums posted a review on Freespire 1.0

You've probably heard of Lindows, one of the most controversial Linux distributions. Through aggressive marketing and the use of open-source and home-made software they were trying to provide an alternative to Microsoft Windows. After being repeatedly sued by the Redmond firm, they came to arrangement and were paid $20m to change their name. They became Linspire.

Linspire has never been popular among Linux users. Their releases are not available for free (the digital download costs $50) and they use a lot of proprietary software. In fact, I never tried Linspire. Not only wasn't I willing to pay for something which didn't look as good as other distributions, but I was quite certain I wouldn't like it.

Recently, a community driven project, sponsored by Linspire, announced their first release: Freespire 1.0. Not only does the project make its releases available for free, it is driven by the community and it even offers an OSS version of the distribution which does not contain proprietary or restricted technology.

Canopus EDIUS Pro 4 Review
TrustedReviews looked at Canopus EDIUS Pro 4

Canopus is an usual company. Back in 1997, it was known to the gaming cognoscenti as a purveyor of the fastest 3dfx Voodoo Graphics cards around, which had 6MB of memory instead of the usual 4MB. But since then Canopus has completely changed direction. It is now one of the most respected purveyors of fast real-time video editing products instead. In fact, it is now so respected in this area that video product mega-corporation Thomson-Grass Valley bought the company at the end of 2005.

Plextor Shock Proof Portable Hard Drive
BCC Hardware posted a review on the Plextor Shock Proof Portable Hard Drive

A while back Plextor announced that they had released a “Shock Proof” portable hard drive. This hard drive consists of a 2.5” laptop hard drive inside an aluminum case. The aluminum case is protected by a silicon outer shell that is designed to absorb the bumps and jars of everyday usage. We recently had a chance to play around with this drive and have kicked things up a notch in our latest review. We take and punish this drive as we drop it from 6’ onto concrete and tether it to a pickup for a spin around the parking lot at speeds of up to 25MPH. Surely it will be destroyed right? Take a look as we even have some video posted of the destruction. Incredibly, this drive (mostly) survives our testing.

OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU Review
ClubOC posted a review on the OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU

PC Gamers put a pretty tough demand on power supplies. The average consumer doesn't build a system around SLI, but some gamers are looking to the future with QUAD SLI. But even if a standard SLI is your goal, a high end graphics card can pull as much as 150 watts. Let alone the demand of running two cards in tandem. I don't' want to sound like a Star Trek: Original Series repeat, but with a system build like that - WE'RE GOING TO NEED MORE POWER. OCZ can give it to you, in the form of the GameXStream-700. 700 watts of power - now that's what I would call -- on demand. Let's have a look!

Zalman VF900-Cu VGA Cooler Review
DriverHeaven posted a review on the Zalman VF900-Cu VGA Cooler

ATI's X1k series of graphics cards are certainly a powerful solution for gaming, however whether purchasing a X1900XT or the older X1800 - the coolers are some of the loudest we have heard in our labs. We made it very clear to ATI that their noisy cooling solution needed addressed in the future because this was never an issue for the 78x or 79x Nvidia boards.

BenQ FP202W Monitor Review
Bytesector posted a review on the BenQ FP202W Monitor

BenQ's put out some impressive monitors and now have taken it a step, um, larger. The FP202W is BenQ's attempt at a 20"monitor, and a very successful one at that. It delivers a superb performance, focusing on the basics and getting them almost perfect. Compared to other monitors in the 20"range, the FP202W appears a little limited. Most notably, there are no USB ports built in to the monitor and it only supports VGA and DVI inputs. (I was also happy to see that no speakers were included.)

Today I am going to take a look at the Logitech Z5500 5.1 speaker system. This speaker system is very similar in specification to Logitech's Z680 5.1 Speaker system. Conroe Core 2 Duo E6600 Review
XSReviews has reviewed the Conroe Core 2 Duo E6600

Straight off the back of my previous AM2 3800 review I was able to acquire a lovely Conroe E6600 CPU from our lovely friends at Chillblast. Now if you know what a Conroe is then you will already know that this processor has taken the enthusiast scene by storm. Their reputation as being awesomely powerful and having insane overclockability is well founded as you will see in this review; as I take this processing monster for a test drive.

Enermax Galaxy 1000W Power Supply Review
3D Game Man posted a review on the Enermax Galaxy 1000W Power Supply

Who would have thought that 1000W power supplies would have been required to power computer gaming systems? Well, that is the case if you have a dual or quad video card setup with lots of hard drives. The other scenario is a server with 20+ hard drives. This power supply would have no problem powering the most demanding computer system that's currently on the market. This product also stands out from many because it has a PowerGuard feature to protect computer hardware, and it has a 135mm fan. Its Galaxy name is very fitting because it has all the power in the world! Watch the Video to find out more...

Catalyst 6.8 Report
Neoseeker has published a mini report covering benchmark performance of the Catalyst 6.8 drivers released today

It would appear that the focus of this release has been on OpenGL optimizations, as well as better management of graphics memory on cards with larger frame buffers. Prey and Chronicles of Riddick did not make the short benchmark list, but armed with an X1900 XT, we'll see which of these other performance claims hold true. Our complete test setup is as follows.

Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5000 Laser Review
The TechZone reviews the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5000.

Logitech introduced the world's first mouse-and-keyboard combination in 1998 with the goal of removing cord clutter from the desk. They succeeded in delivering on that vision, and they are now addressing a different kind of clutter - cleaning up the mess of notifications and information that are displayed on the computer monitor. The Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5000 Laser desktop pushes that information to a peripheral screen so that people can choose when to glance at their notifications and status information, and can therefore clear their monitors - and their minds.
