Hardwarecanucks posted a review of the OCZ StealthXstream 600W power supply

A few months ago it was ludicrous to even think of the possibility of a quality 600W power supply which retailed for under $100. We can do nothing but applaud OCZ since they proved a great price does not equal lackluster performance by delivering power supply which performs as well as its more-expensive competitors.

DV Hardware just published a new review of the 750W Silencer PSU from PCP&C.

In this review I'm taking a closer look at the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply. There are three flavors of this PSU: Black, Copper and a red CrossFire Edition. Besides the different color these units are identical, they all have a continuous maximum output of 750W with a peak output of 825W and a max of 60A on the +12V rail. The Silencer 750W PSU ships in a rather unattractive box. When I received this product I expected to find another box inside the one you can see on the photo but that wasn't the case. I was a bit worried that the PSU might have been damaged during shipping when I saw that one of the corners was punctured but fortunately the PSU was well protected.

bit-tech published the first part of their Asus P5K3 Premium review

Asus makes a good looking, well made product with a great layout that's an evolution of the P5K series we've seen before. But the thing is, is that it's //just like/ the P5K series. The features might as well be identical and even though the concept is very innovative and screams "buy me because I'm cool" but would you drop £550 on 2GB of memory and a motherboard?

It's meant to be a bit of a stop gap solution but performance DDR2 memory is so cheap and the actual performance difference is still very low, so the intermediate market just isn't really there. Will it sway the hardcore early adopters with money? Probably not as the likelihood is that those people upgrade every other day, so soldering memory to the motherboard will be too restrictive for them.

So great concept and potential motherboard, but questionable market appeal. Does it have enough in the performance from the unique memory architecture to warrant the investment?

PC Stats posted a review on the Corsair DOMINATOR Twin3X2048-1800C7D 2GB DDR3-1800 Memory Kit

Enthusiasts and Corsair go together like milk and cookies, and as expected Corsair is one of the first manufacturers to actually get its DDR3 memory modules to the market. Corsair's 2GB DOMINATOR Twin3X2048-1800C7D DDR3 memory kit is wicked fast, but that speed comes with a very high price tag: $784 CDN ($744 US, £371 GBP). Compared to what we're used to seeing from ultra high end enthusiast grade DDR2, it's pricey. Compared to a similar class of high end DDR3 memory on the market, it's actually quite comparable.

Raiden's Realm posted a review on Sabayon Linux 3.4a

Sabayon Linux is a distribution that seeks to take the Linux desktop and put an artistic spin to it that other distributions don’t have. Their motto of “when art meets inspiration” speaks highly to this desire. But what makes Sabayon stand out from all the rest? It’s the eye candy and the focus on a more graphics and feature rich environment for the end user. Sabayon Linux is also a somewhat new distribution on the block having come from RR4 which is ultimately a derivative of Gentoo which is ultimately a derivative of Enoch. So how does Sabayon match up against some of the bigger players in the market like Vector and PcLinuxOS? Let’s take a look.

3D Game Man posted a review on the Antec TruePower Quattro 850W & 1000W PSUs

The Antec TruePower Quattro 850W & 1000W PSUs have stylish racing stripes which run all the way around the steel housing and include an 80mm fan. Along with this fan and the many ventilation holes, this PSU will remain cool in almost any environment. Both of these PSUs have lots of power for today's gaming systems. The +3.3V is 25A and the +5V is 30A. Many of today's high wattage power supplies that are designed for a 2 video card gaming system and therefore have one large single +12V rail, but these PSUs have 4 +12V rails and each rail is 18A. Remember, a single +12V rail is preferred in a multiple video card setup. Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end.

DreamWare Computers posted a review on the Thermaltake Toughpower 850W Power Supply

Looking at the long list of power supplies we've reviewed here in the past, there's one brand name that surprisingly hasn't had a chance to cross our test bed yet - Thermaltake. Today however will change all that as the Thermaltake Toughpower 850W power supply has just arrived! I must say I've been excited to test this supply because not only does it offer 850 watts of power, but also offers a modular cable system, silent 140mm fan, great looks, and much more!
