Fujifilm FinePix S6500FD Digital Camera Review
Madshrimps posted a review on the Fujifilm FinePix S6500FD Digital Camera

The Fujifilm FinePix S6500FD was introduced at the end of 2006 for a NSRP of AC370 ($500). Nowadays you can get this dSLR-like camera for AC270 ($365), which is incredibly low if you see what it's capable of.

Be Quiet!'s PC Noise Absorber Kit Review
bit-tech published a review of Be Quiet!'s PC Noise Absorber Kit

If you have an entirely closed system and have gone to extreme lengths elsewhere first: fans, hard drives and heatsinks, then yes it will take that extra bit more off. But then again, if you've been that pedantic anyway with your components why didn't you consider a "silent and insulated" case from the start? There's only so much you can do using this and the performance is ultimately depicted by what case it's stuck into.

The Be Quiet! Noise Absorber kit itself works well, but ultimately it's not a product you should jump to first hand -- prevention is better than a cure, as they say. Compared to Akasa PaxMate at least I'd certainly recommend this in preference, and considering how much some professional matting costs, I'd again look at this as a nice medium. Be Quiet! has currently very few retailers in the UK though, so it might be hard to get hold of, but if it's really what you're after then the more noise you make the more motivation people will have to stock it.

So noise absorption kits might not be the highest thing on everyone's shopping list, but it seems Be Quiet! might have good product in a niche us modders might need.

VidaBox Premium Wireless Keyboard Review
techPowerUp posted a review on the VidaBox Premium Wireless Keyboard

When building an HTPC system, one of the main problems is finding a decent keyboard and mouse that won't take up too much room. Often a good keyboard is just a standard full sized desktop keyboard in a wireless version. Then there is the issue of cursor control. A mouse often gets misplaced, and remote control units are awkward at best. VidaBox's new Premium Wireless Keyboard features a built-in optical trackball, and the size is as compact as a laptop keyboard.

Tagan ITZ 1300w Power Supply Review
3D Game Man posted a review on the Tagan ITZ 1300w Power Supply

The ITZ series of power supplies has everything that a diehard gaming, rendering, or over clocker could ever dream for except for one thing. Modular cables have become an industry standard implementation and with this many leads on a power supply, I would expect that modular cables would be a given. On the other hand a power supply of this magnitude, from a manufacturer's point of view, should be installed in a full tower file server or a hard core gamer's rig, but even with these two variables, one is not going to be using the full gambit of SATA leads, and the other is not going to be using the multiple graphics card leads.

Danger Den Water Box Plus Case Review
OCC has published a new review of the Danger Den Water Box Plus Case

Another part of the equation here is that the noise generated by the fans and pump in the case is minimal compared to the air-cooled CM Stacker the system used to be in. Dropping the noise level while giving the CPU and GPUs some additional cooling were two things that have been an issue in the past. Air cooling is a compromise; you have killer cooling but the the noise penalty is huge. Not so with the Danger Den setup we have put together. Without sophisticated sound testing equipment, it is hard to quantify the results, but the ringing in my ears is now gone at the end of the night. The Papst fans that were used are rated at a 30dB, and I truly cannot hear them with the case buttoned up. I was afraid the DD5 pump would really put out a lot of noise, but again was pleasantly surprised at the noise level that it performed at, almost dead silent. During the leak testing, I had to keep grabbing it to make sure it was still running. Talk about a serious change, it's amazing.

Arctic Cooling Accelero S1/S2 Turbo Module Review
OCIA.net takes a look at the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1/S2 Turbo Module in their latest review.

Back in June, I reviewed the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 video card cooler. Though entirely passive, it blew the stock cooler out of the water. People have been raving on and on about this cooler in reviews, and it seemed like it just couldn't get any better. until Arctic Cooling put out the Turbo Module, an addition to the S1 and S2 coolers.

AMD Barcelona Opteron Launch Is Upon Us
PC Perspective has taken the information that AMD is providing today at the official Barcelona and compiled it together in a preview article.

This smells VERY similar to the recent HD 2900 XT launch that AMD's GPU division had earlier in the year -- because their product couldn't meet the performance/watt levels necessary to compete against the high end NVIDIA products, they aimed a lower priced product line with their top part. They seem to be doing that here with Barcelona as well...

Antec TruePower Quattro 850W Modular PSU TPQ-850 Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the Antec TruePower Quattro 850W Modular PSU TPQ-850

Last year the Antec TP3-650 TruePower Trio was still making waves in the market, offering 650W of power for an unbeatable price. This year, Antec has returned with a newly designed and very improved power supply unit: the TruePower Quattro. AMD's quad-core Opteron 2300 processors review
Another AMD Barcelona review, this time from TechReport

Somewhere around mid-morning this past Friday, a rather large package made its way into the depths of Damage Labs. Inside was a server containing something very special: a pair of AMD's new quad-core Opteron processors. The chip code-named "Barcelona" has been something of an enigma during its development, both because of questions about exactly when it would arrive and how it would perform when it did. After a long, hot weekend of non-stop testing, we have some answers to those questions. AMD is formally introducing its Barcelona-based Opteron 2300-series processors today, so the time is now. As for the performance, well, keep reading to see exactly how the new Opterons compare to Intel's quad-core Xeons.

Cooler Master CM Media 282 Hybrid Desktop/HTPC Computer Case Review
Tweaknews posted a review on the Cooler Master CM Media 282 Hybrid Desktop/HTPC Computer Case

To sum it up, this is quite a versatile case. It can be used to build a HTPC or a full fledged overclocked gaming tower, and converting between the two takes just a matter of minutes. Unlike many HTPC chassis this case supports both the micro and full ATX form factors and there is plenty of room inside for hard drives.

SteelSeries S&S mousepad Review
DV Hardware has a new review on the SteelSeries S&S mousepad

SteelSeries is perhaps one of the most well known mousepad brands. It all started about six years ago when they launched their Steelpad mousepad. This was one of the few aluminum mousepads available on the market and this got them a lot of attention. Over the years the firm introduced several other mousepads including glass, hard plastic and cloth mousepads. A few weeks ago I checked out the cloth SteelSeries QcK mousepad and in this review I'm taking a look at one of SteelSeries' hard plastic mousepads - the SteelSeries S&S

Revoltec Rhodium Tower Review
Bjorn3D look at the Revoltec Rhodium Tower

PC cases have undergone a huge evolution the last 10-15 years. While at the dawn of the PC era you could only find beige and boring cases, now basically every case looks designed. This of course means that it is hard to stand out from the competition, even more if you are not a big case-company like Antec or Thermaltake.

A little while ago we reviewed the Revoltec Zirconium case, a relatively cheap case from Revoltec which unfortunately scored pretty low and today I am looking at the slightly more expensive, and more exclusive, Revoltec Rhodium case. Will it fair better than the Zirconium case?
