XFX GeForce 7950 GT Extreme Passive Edition 512MB Review
HEXUS posted a review on the XFX GeForce 7950 GT Extreme Passive Edition 512MB

The GeForce 7950GT Extreme Edition Passive is based on the 7950GT,
which is now replacing the 7900GT, but partners it with a heatpipe-based passive cooling system rather than the conventional HSF. So this card gives you all the power of Nvidia's G71 GPU, but without any fan noise whatsoever.

Microsoft IE7 Vs Mozilla Firefox 2.0
Bios Magazine posted a comparison review between Microsoft IE7 and Mozilla Firefox 2.0

You may be surprised to learn that there's quite a contrast between the release of Firefox 2.0 and IE7. Firefox 2.0 is, to the regular Firefox user, not a huge jump as there are few new outstanding features. The reason for that is simple - it already had all the core goodies that real world users like such as tabbed browsing. IE7 is still playing catch-up from the back of the field and is thus more visibly changed. For Microsoft, IE7 represents a key piece of software in its critically important 'Live' initiative to deliver Windows, Office, and other products as services over the Web. The browser is the gateway to the Web, and therefore the window to Live services,

AMD-ATI Fusion Shmusion
HEXUS posted an article on the AMD-ATI Fusion

As we were one of the first to report, the marriage between AMD and ATi is now official. The minister has completed the vows, the rings have been exchanged, and the confetti is raging as the two companies head off into the sunset for a honeymoon in Sunnyvale. This is such a big deal, the UK was blessed with not one but two CTOs for the official announcement event – one from each company.

PC Power & Cooling SILENCER 750 EPS12V Review
PC Apex has posted a PC Power & Cooling SILENCER 750 EPS12V review

I know PCP&C wants to stay away from added connections. This is the main reason why you will never see a modular cable installed on a PCP&C unit, an extra connector adds resistance. Added resistance equals a loss of power. A couple more reasons why you won't see modular cables on a PCP&C unit is the possibility of pin damage and loose connections that can lead to more serious problems.

Akasa Mirage-62 Review
techPowerUp! posted a new review on the Akasa Mirage-62

The Akasa Mirage 62 can simply be described as the Hummer of PC cases - wide, big, black. The front looks sweet, but the interior looks even sweeter. Black interior and a mirror finish mainboard tray just ask for a window panel to be used. This case delivers everything you may need, from total access to your parts to all the space you could ever need - even for QuadSLI and 1kW power supply. So if you can afford the $150 price tag, this case is for you.

Zalman Fatal1ty FS-C77 Heatsink Review
PC Stats posted a review on the Zalman Fatal1ty FS-C77 Heatsink

The Zalman Fatal1ty FS-C77 heatsink is the Zalman CNPS7700-Cu heatsink with a coat of red lacquer applied and a slightly beefier 120mm red LED illuminated fan. The two heatsinks are compatible with the same variety of processors, but the CNPS7700-Cu is skewed for silent running while the FS-C77 ships without the Fanmate 2 fan speed controller. Apart from these three differences, the two heatsinks are identical in every other way. The Zalman Fatal1ty FS-C77 is a large cooler by any measure, and unlike every other Zalman heatsink this one is entirely tuned for performance. It's translucent 120mm fan rotates at 2400RPM, and a series of red LEDs light up the blades nicely in a darkened case.

Foxconn 975X7AB-8EKRS2H 975X Express Motherboard Review
PC Stats has posted a review on the Foxconn 975X7AB-8EKRS2H 975X Express Motherboard

The flagship Foxconn 975X7AB-8EKRS2H motherboard is a prime example of what Foxconn can do. Based on the Intel 975X Express and ICH7R chipsets, the board supports all Socket 775 Intel CPUs from the Celeron D to the Pentium 4/D/XE, and of course Core 2 Duo. The 975X Express chipset operates with a 800/1066MHz Front Side Bus (FSB). It features 3GB/s SATA II RAID (0, 1, 5, 0+1) so you can hook up as many as four SATA hard drives like the Western Digital WD740 Raptor together for data redundancy in RAID 1, or the pure speed of RAID 0.

Virtual-Hideout posted a review on the Mushkin 2GB HP2-6400 DDR2-800 Memory

The quality of memory used in this particular HP2-6400 kit is evident by the superb overclocking potential. Obtaining 1000mhz from an 800mhz kit is proof these are indeed high performance memory modules. Add to that the good looking blue aluminum "FrostByte" heatspreaders and you've got a potent combination.

iRiver Clix 2GB Multimedia Player Review
The Tech Lounge takes a look at the iRiver Clix 2GB Multimedia Player

The one company that, in my opinion, stands out as the small market iPod alternative is iRiver. For the last few years iRiver has steadily developed a string of interesting personal media devices which, while not as popular as the iPod, are every bit as stylish and cool. Today I’ve got my hands on the iRiver Clix 2GB. This simple looking player jumps into the flash-based player arena to take on the likes of the iPod Nano as well as offerings from Samsung, Toshiba, Sandisk and others.

Is Technology Really Making Life Easier?
The TechZone ask Is Technology Really Making Life Easier?

Today we are told that technology is here to make our lives easier. The microwave helps us cook food faster. The internet helps us get information faster and allows us to stay connected with friends, family and business associates. We have more television stations to give us more choices, we have cell phones so that we can stay in touch with each other and we have laptop computers so that we can access the internet anywhere in the world.

Ok . let's look at that last paragraph again.

From where I'm sitting, it looks like all our sophisticated modern technology has done the opposite . it has made our lives crazier! It has given us less time instead of more.

ASUS EN7900GS TOP Video Card Review
Elite Bastards posted a review on the ASUS EN7900GS TOP GeForce 7900 GS video card

We've already been touting the clock speeds of ASUS' EN7900GS TOP compared to a reference GeForce 7900 GS, so it's time to reveal all. Drum roll please.... Compared to the aforementioned reference core and memory clocks of 450MHz and 660MHz respectively, this board comes with a core clock speed of 590MHz, with RAM clocked at 720MHz, giving us a pretty hefty advantage of 140MHz on the core and 60MHz on memory. Not to be sniffed at, that's for sure.

Considering these rather large clock speed boosts, you might be expecting to see the EN7900GS TOP outfitted with a hefty cooling solution. Not so - This board simply ships with the standard cooler seen on most other GeForce 7900 GS boards. Indeed, the PCB and design is basically identical to ASUS' EN7950GT board we looked at just last week.
