Seagate Savvio 15K.2 SAS 2.0 6Gb/s 146GB 2.5-inch Hard Disk Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Seagate Savvio 15K.2 SAS 2.0 6Gb/s 146GB 2.5-inch Hard Disk

Real progress for 2.5 is coming from the enterprise market where many servers have been launched with bays only for these miniature drives. The premise is simple; smaller drives means you can fit more in the same amount of space. When it comes to rack mount servers space comes at a premium and it is sold in 1.75 inch sections. In a typical 1U server where the hard drives are mounted in removable bays, you could fit four 3.5 inch bays. Take that same server and configure it for 2.5 inch drives and you can add an extra row vertically and horizontally to make it a ten drive server.

The Seagate Savvio 15K.2 is a second generation 2.5 inch form factor hard drive that uses the SAS 2.0, 6Gb/s interface. Let’s move on and see how well it fares.

Driverheaven posted a review on the Nesteq ASM XZero 500W PSU

Today we are going to have a look at a product from Nesteq a German computer products designer, the ASM Xzero 500W power supply. What makes the Xzero unique is that although it has a cooling fan it only uses it when the internal temperature rises above a certain temperature, making it what we would call a semi-passive running unit. It also ships with a variety of distinct features which we will analyse thoroughly in our review today.

Seagate XT 2TB SATA 6GB/s Hard Drive Testing
Legit Reviews posted a review on the Seagate XT 2TB SATA 6GB/s Hard Drive

The Seagate Barracuda XT 2TB hard drive is the industry’s first drive to support the new SATA 3.0 specification, which supports speeds up to 6GB/s. We also have the SATA 6GB/s ready, ASUS P7P55D-E Premium motherboard for benchmarking. Read on to see LR's first look at SATA 6GB/s to see what it is all about!

We had high hopes for SATA 6GB/s before we starting benchmarking one of these new platforms, but other than having some nice burst benchmark screen shots we don't have really anything else to show you. Seagate was kind enough to send over the Seagate XT 2TB hard drive for benchmarking and while the drive is great the performance benefits of SATA 6GB/s don't seem like it will create a mad dash for new motherboards or drives anytime soon. The Seagate marketing slide that talked about SATA 6GB/s maturing over the next 2-3 years really starts to make sense now that we have seen the performance numbers.

DIAMOND 4890PE51GXOC Radeon HD 4890 1GB Video Card Review
Futurelooks checked out the DIAMOND 4890PE51GXOC Radeon HD 4890 1GB Video Card

With the release of the ATI Radeon HD 5800 series of video cards, I've been slowly retiring the 4800 series cards I've been using in my test rig for the past 18 months. This changing of the seasons inspired me to build another new main rig that features all AMD hardware, including two video cards in Crossfire. Admittedly neither of the Radeon HD 4890 cards I have are a match in specs. You can mix and match cards if need be, but the vanilla 4890 and the quietly cooled 4890 I have in my possession are too far apart from each other to work suitably in such an arrangement.

ASUS RT-N13U Wireless Router and Print Server Review
ThinkComputers.org posted a review on the ASUS RT-N13U Wireless Router and Print Server

As the price of home networking equipment falls, manufacturers are looking to include features which separate their product from the rest of the pack. Many routers include at least one USB port these days because of this. This USB port is generally used for either a printer or some kind of storage device, such as an external hard drive or flash drive. The ASUS RT-N13U is one such device. It unifies 802.11n wireless with a 10/100 switch and a lone USB port, which ASUS thinks your all-in-one printer would love. ThinkComputers reviews the ASUS RT-N13U wireless router

Xigmatek Bifrost VD1065 VGA Cooler Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Xigmatek Bifrost VD1065 VGA Cooler

Xigmatek sends us another solution to just such a quest to improve the cooling of your precious graphics card. I’m not exactly certain how it all came about, but this cooler is one I believe I may have seen before, in some fashion. Xigmatek, however, added their own flair, special touches and changed little things. It is, in its purist form very similar to the SilenX cooler I looked at back in February. Hopefully things have changed since then.

Today we are looking at the Bifrost VD1065 from Xigmatek. They have provided me with a dual fan cooling solution that I may, or may not have seen before. I need to get some pictures and get myself a closer look to see what the Bifrost can offer end users in the pursuit of a better cooling solution.
