Menus and videos are working but the game exits to the desktop with an error message as soon as it finishes loading the first stage. Same thing happens if I try to start a timedemo from the command line.
It happens both with the demo version, when installing from the original CD
Expendable used to work for me in XP, but on my new PC it doesn't.

The menus work fine, but game crashes after starting a new game. This is not caused by XP though, as it worked fine on an older machine with XP, but not on my new PC.
I found a solution: the game doesn't like dual core CPUs. Just give it a commandline parameter "-nocputest" and it works fine.
