Due to the lack of DirectPlay in DirectX 10, Freelancer cannot connect to ANY servers.

Running Vista home premium, 6.0.6000 build 6000

Game runs fine in single player but is completely unable to connect to ANY multiplayer servers. It is able to see independently hosted servers in the server list by connecting directly, but when attempting to logon it fails every time. All necessary ports are forwarded on the router and the program is in the firewall exception list. Anyone know a workaround?

Freelancer multiplayer servers are down, hence the reason it won't find any global servers.

Any possibility to get the program running under Windows 7 32-bit Home Ed. It simply tells there is no 3D graphics card installed and quits.

Using Nvidia 8800 GTX in SLi, stopping SLi makes no difference.

Tested compatibility-mode from Win 98 over win 2000 to xp, no difference (all with administrator rights)
