Game installs if you use compatiblity mode for Win98/Me. Strange since it was designed for XP.

Performance doesn't seem to be as good as on XP (32 bit) but the game does seem more stable on my setup.

Running with Windows 98/ME compatablity and disabling Visual Themes and Disabling Desktop Composition, the program seems to run fine.

No major issues. Hard to tell if there is a performance hit because this is a totally rebuilt system for me.

Installed fine, without Vista yelling at me, but the game will still not run. No matter what combination of compatibility options I use. It will start to load, then crash out. When the box comes up that gives me the option to check online for a solution, that does not work either

This game works great under vista (i have a good graphics card so i don't see the difference but there is a difference).
In order to make the game work, you have to rename the MOVIES folder in the game folder, it wont have those movies but it'll work swell.

160 GB hard disk

Antec 900 case
HKC 580W SUPER SILENT PSU
WINDOWS VISTA Ultimate 64Bit

Ok heres the story, I have a bad day always with vista. because "need for speed carbon" freezes my computer and I can't play it.

This is what I did.. follow this steps after you installed nfs carbon

Right click on the need for speed icon on desktop click properties, compatibility tab, then click run as admin, click win98 and finally click ok

Download the latest need for speed patch version 1.4 this fixes the crashing on windows vista in my computer *info above* I had zero problems with ati 3870 after this

My amd proccess 98%
My ati radeon card has temp of 89%
Motherboard temp: 40 degrees
Set my zalman 9700 to max speed
My resolution set to MAX

My AA set to 4x

And All Maximum i get fps of 40 in game. Heh thanks ati
