Received the follow messages: 1) Works 2) There appears to be an incompatibility between win2ks networking and the Starcraft Battle.net connection. The game will run perfectely for a week after installing and then it will become nearly impossible to join games ( i have deleted the cache files) I am not the only one with this problem. It has forced many Starcraft fans to dual-boot 98 3) Works. However, watch out for the following two issues: 1) Uninstall any firewalls running locally if starcraft hangs on exiting (ie zonealarm). This may be accompanied by a BSOD (blue screen/crash). 2) If repetitive attempts to join a game results in high latency (lots of red bars) and eventual inability to join a game, either exit and rerun starcraft, or, at your OWN risk download a fix from www.valhallalegends.com. 4) It worked, but very very slow and choppy! Even the main menu is choppy, although not at much as the game. Can't find the problem: enough swap 500megs HD free, directx 8a, 192 megs RAM...

I was able to install both Starcraft and the expansion, Starcraft Broodwar in Windows 7 x64. But when I tried to install the 1.14 (bw-114.exe) update it fails. The work around for me was to install Starcraft and Broodwar on Windows 7, then take a good install in a pre-Windows 7 install and copy (overlay) the files (already upgraded to build 1.14) over the installed files in (example) C:\Program Files (x86)\Starcraft. This worked.
With Nvidia GTS 250 (latest reference drivers as of 4/6/10) there were some graphic issues in the cut scenes, but the game worked just fine.
