Altec Lansing is a force to be reckoned with when talking about sound production. The Altec Lansing name was formed when the All Technical Products Company decided to solidify its business and extend its manufacturing capabilities. The company bought Lansing Manufacturing Company headed by James B. Lansing and formed the Altec Lansing Corporation on May 1, 1941. Since then, Altec Lansing has become a major contender in the audio system industry. Not known for their expensive systems, but rather cheaper and more affordable systems, Altec Lansing has dished up quite a pocket gouger. With the MSRP at $300, the FX6021 2.1 system looks to be a leap into the higher end market. However, as noted at the end of the review, a quick Price Grabber search reveals that this system can be purchased for almost $100 less than the MSRP; $206 USD.Read more
