Kingston HyperX 240GB 6Gbps SSD Review

So when we received their newest and first HyperX SSD, we were very curious to see how it stacked up against other SandForce SF-2281 drives. How will they set their drive apart from the growing SandForce powered SSD crowd? Read on to see.
The Kingston HyperX 240GB SSD either led or was right behind the leader in nearly every benchmark we threw at it. Kingston rates the maximum read/write specifications as 555MB/s for max reads and 510MB/s for max writes. We actually saw slightly more than that on the ATTO benchmark so their numbers appear to be spot on. We look at an offering from Patriot memory, they added two new SATA 3 (SATA 3 6Gs) SSDs in their WildFire lineup, the WildFire in 120GB & 240GB capacities (480GB coming as well), All SATA 3 of course.
Both drives come with the SandForce SF-2281 controller to deliver at up to 550 MBps read and 510 MBps write speeds. Check out the article here

Sapphire HD6950 2GB DiRT3 Toxic Edition Review
OCC has published a review on the Sapphire HD6950 2GB DiRT3 Toxic Edition
Another incredible thing about this card is that it was unlockable - meaning that I was able to flash it to an HD6970 BIOS, unlocking the total 1536 shader cores over the stock 1408. With the extra 10% of shader cores at my disposal, I reran the overclocked benchmarks and discovered a steady jump in performance by anywhere between 6%-8% running at the same 1010/1500MHz. Granted, not all cards can do this from the factory, as they are physically cut. I can't say whether all these cards are unlockable, but it doesn't hurt to try.

The ASUS HD6670 video card with DisplayPort is factory overclocked to 810MHz. This ASUS HD6670 is equipped with faster memory for superior performance and is equipped with a DisplayPort for 3-monitor Eyefinity support. Cooling is provided by an 80mm dust-proof fan blowing down on an aluminum heatsink. Since the ASUS Radeon HD6670 only has a TDP of 66W, there is no additional 6-pin power connectors needed. Aside from the DisplayPort connector, there is also a DVI-I port and an HDMI port, fully supporting AMD's HD3D technology.

Z68 vs. X58 - Which Is The Better Gaming Platform?
TweakTown compared both Z68 and X58 platforms
This is an article I've wanted to do for a while now and as this month started, I told myself it was time to get it done as my testbeds here are making some changes. I've been tossing up if I should make the move to Z68 for our VGA reviews, or stick with the tried and trusted X58 platform. Most people will feel that it's a no brainer with the X58 being the better option due to the fact it natively supports x16 / x16 in dual card setups. For us, that's indeed the biggest draw for the platform; the Z68 one on the other hand has a lot of standout features that make it a better option as well."
The big thing is that the Z68 platform can just overclock so much better. Our X58 / 980X setup is good for 4.2GHz, while our Z68 / 2600k setup is good for 5.2GHz - 5.4GHz. With high end setups, it's so important that we're not CPU limited and even though the 2600k doesn't carry as many cores as the 980x, its +1GHz should yield us more headroom.
