Alpenföhn Triglav CPU Cooler Review
Vortez takes a look at the Alpenföhn Triglav CPU Cooler

While on the verge of installing a brand new, yet to be released cooler from a currently unknown brand, an unexpected package came to my door. Opening it revealed a brand new cooler from Alpenföhn, the Triglav. Normally, this would have just been chucked to the corner while I focussed on the more exciting unreleased cooler but a few things caught my attention which meant that it had to be given priority over anything else. First of all, it was a product from Alpenföhn, a brand which has become renowned over the past two
years for their quality and craftsmanship. Secondly, the Triglav, as it is known, features some very unique and interesting features that suggest it could potentially challenge other coolers in a different price bracket to itself.

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Case Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the Corsair Carbide Series 400R Case

Corsair has recently manufactured some great top end PC cases. Now the Carbide Series will follow up in a more affordable fashion allowing more PC builders to touch upon and utilize the main functions of the Obsidian and Graphite series. Simply put, this is a case built for builders and won't break the bank when building your new rig.

Corsair simply nailed it with the Carbide Series 400R mid-tower case. The first thing I noticed taking this steel case out of the box was it is fairly light at under 16 pounds! It was very sturdy and I didn't feel like I was going to be breaking plastic parts while reviewing the case. The elegant sleek design may escape you are first look but it is certainly there. It may take the first time for you to see the PC turned on to see how well it works with the white LED lights provided on the front panels and front case fans. Sure it only comes with three fan to start but if you are feeling creative you can have up to ten to create a wind tunnel in your Corsair Carbide Series 400R.

Cooler Master Notepal U Stand Review
OCC has published a review on the Cooler Master Notepal U Stand

While it doesn't have the same cooling power as some of the more powerful ones, it has a lot of features that make it worth using. For instance, the USB hub turns my MacBook Pro's 2 USB ports into 4, and the ability to tilt the cooler means I can really customize how I want it to look. Also, the ability to move the fans around can allow you to get the cooler air exactly where it needs to go to help cool your specific laptop more efficiently.

ASUS P8H67-I (Intel H67) Mini ITX Motherboard Review
TweakTown posted ASUS P8H67-I (Intel H67) Mini ITX Motherboard Review

I'm not sure why, but I'm a huge fan of the tiny mITX form factor. It's come a long way from the days of VIA powered boards and while they indeed were cool, they just didn't have the performance you could get out of mATX or larger boards which could carry those faster Intel and AMD CPUs. The format has really blown up lately, though, and we're seeing more and more companies offer mITX boards based on chipsets that indeed offer the chance to give us some real performance. Today we're looking at the ASUS P8H67-I which as you can possibly tell from the name, is based on the H67 chipset.

It's not the most high end chipset on the market, but what it does allow is for us to use those higher end 1155 processors like the 2600k. The other big appeal is that it uses a proper x16 PCIe slot which means that higher end video cards like the GTX 580 we use shouldn't be hindered even though the board is smaller.

AMD's Bulldozer architecture is still a few more months away, but now we at least have new APUs to tinker with in the mean time. The Sandy Bridge Pentium Review: G850, G840, G620 & G620T Tested
Anandtech posted a review on the Sandy Bridge Pentium processors

Despite abandoning Pentium as a high end brand with the 2006 release of Intel's Core 2 Duo, Intel has kept the label around for use on its value mainstream parts. Last year we saw only two Pentium branded Clarkdale parts: the G6950 and G6960. This year, powered by Sandy Bridge, the Pentium brand is a bit more active.

The new Sandy Bridge based Pentiums fall into two lines at present: the G800 and G600. All SNB Pentiums have two cores (HT disabled) with 256KB L2 per core and a 3MB L3 cache. CPU core turbo is disabled across the entire Pentium line. From a performance standpoint, other than missing hyper threading and lower clocks - the Sandy Bridge Pentiums are very similar to Intel's Core i3.

Read on for our full review of these value Sandy Bridge CPUs.

MYTHLOGIC Pollux 1400: Clevo's W150HR Tested
Anandtech posted a review on the MYTHLOGIC Pollux 140

The past year has seen the vast majority of mainstream notebooks with discrete graphics shift to NVIDIA's Optimus, and with the W150HR Clevo makes the move as well. Equipped with GT 555M DDR3 graphics and sporting an i7-2720QM and Intel 510 SSD, MYTHLOGIC's Pollux 1400 variant packs in a lot of performance. What's more, it has one of the best LCD's we've tested: a matte 1080p LCD with high color gamut and great viewing angles. If you've been looking for a laptop that can handle just about anything, this could be it.

Of course, there's more to a laptop than the raw specs, and build quality and keyboard layout have been issues on Clevo designs for as long as I've been testing them. They're not the worst in the business, but considering the cost and target market there are certainly other alternatives. So how does MYTHLOGIC's offering stack up to the competition? Let's find out.
