A few months ago when new chipsets were launching, I'd always go to the effort to try and hunt down some mITX versions of boards, because like I've said before, the mITX format actually has some serious power to offer people and can be paired with other high end components you'd normally see in standard ATX boards.

Over the last few months we've managed to look at the ASRock Z68M-ITX/HT, ASRock A75M-ITX and ASUS P8H67-I with more coming up. I'm actually at the point now where I don't have to ask for a mITX board; companies just send them over as they know it's something I like to cover. Today we look at a mITX board from GIGABYTE that carries the H61 chipset, a chipset that I actually haven't used yet.

The Outlaw was a little disappointing in its performance. Compared to a few cases that are only $10 more expensive, it really does start lacking. I wasn't pleased with the overall build of the case to begin with, and these high temperatures definitely do not help. Adding fans wouldn't be much more expensive, but for an additional $10 or less, I could buy a different case with better stock temps. I'm really not impressed.

Within the Core Series are currently two classifications - the Core 1000 and Core 3000. The Core 1000 giving support for the smaller mATX and ITX format whilst the Core 3000 being designed for mATX and standard ATX. Today we will be taking a look at the Core 3000. Our first and previous encounter with Fractal Design left us very impressed - can they do it again with the Core 3000? Let's find out!
