FSP Raider 650W Power Supply Review

Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 10/10/2012 01:53 PM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

DreamWare Computers posted a review on the FSP Raider 650W Power Supply

A tough decision one faces when building a computer, or upgrading their existing one, is what power supply to choose. A quick search of a popular online computer store turns up over 440 models of power supplies for the choosing. Which one is right for you? FSP has always done a great job of catering to the demands of all users; whether you're after an entry level, mainstream or high end power supply they probably have a great fit for your needs. Last year we checked out their Aurum and Aurum CM models, which were great performers for those after higher end 80PLUS Gold certified power supplies. The Aurum series' not only were strong performers but also had an unmatched price for 80PLUS Gold power supplies at the time. If the Aurum is a little out of your price range, then FSP's newest line, the Raider, might be just what you're after.

The Raider power supplies are priced to compete in the mainstream market (middle of the line). Their aim is to provide a high performing supply, which even shares some features with the Aurum line, but at a price that isn't too out of reach for most shoppers. The Raider series is 80PLUS Bronze certified, non-modular and features FSP's unique MIA IC design which helps keep the supply smaller in size than most similar wattage units.
