Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Game Analysis

After five long years, Adam Jensen has returned this week in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Aside from being a sequel to the events of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mankind Divided is also a bit of a technical showpiece, as it is the first game to feature the brand new Dawn Engine, which was designed to leverage powerful PC hardware. Today we are going to be taking a look at the quality of Mankind Divided on the PC specifically, and see how well it runs on a range of graphics cards.

Drobo 5n NAS Review

Gigabyte X99 Ultra Gaming Review

The light-fantastic board. The ultimate Intel consumer platform remains the X99. Home now to the deca-core 6950X and recently updated through a minor refresh, the X99 chipset is where manufacturers throw in the bells, whistles and kitchen sink. It kind of makes sense in this environment, too, as a base build can cost £2,000 upwards.

Motherboards on this chipset range from £150 to, well, over £400. Picking a really solid option at £250 is usually the way to go, balancing out features, looks and cost, and industry veteran Gigabyte plies this area with the X99 Ultra Gaming.

No Man's Sky PC Review: Gameplay And Performance Explored

No Man’s Sky, the interstellar survival/exploration title from Hello Games, hit the PC and console platforms this month, roughly two years after its now infamous reveal at the 2013 VGX Awards. There it received exuberant praise and took home several awards—including a “Special Commendation for Innovation.” During that showing, what impressed industry insiders most were its seamless transitions from outer-space travel to atmospheric burn-in, to boots on the ground. No Man's Sky features a massively open environment that remains one of the cooler aspects of the game--it never seems to get old once you've had a chance to experience it. And experience it, we have...

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Founders Edition Review

After AMD's release of the impressive Radeon RX 480 graphics card, NVIDIA was quick to react with its own GeForce GTX 1060. AMD had a few lead days to a very hot market, although the very sought-after cards were initially out of stock pretty much everywhere. The stock fluctuations and the initial controversies surrounding AMD's Radeon RX 480 gave NVIDIA enough time and room to establish its presence in the $200-$300 price segment. A month after the GTX 1060 release, the stock levels are starting to stabilize and potential buyers have enough material to make an educated decision… if wallet health is still not the ultimate limitation that is!

The new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 is built around the Pascal GP106, a scaled-down GPU compared to the GP104 powering the beastly GTX 1080 and 1070. However, the new chip still offers all of Pascal's features at a lower price bracket. NVIDIA also opted to remove the SLI feature from the GTX 1060 in what seems to be a crippling blow to a very promising card at first glance. Today I'm taking the NVIDIA GTX 1060 Founders Edition for a spin to see how it fares against AMD's Radeon RX 480 8GB and the beefy EVGA GTX 970 SC.

SteelSeries Rival 700 Review

Leaping to the opposite end of the spectrum after having a hands on with the Rival 100, we finally get the chance to play with the Rival 700.

At first glance it would be easy to dismiss it as a run-of-the-mill teardrop shaped mouse. Then on closer inspection, the subtle ergonomic shape comes into focus. You then see the different materials for the main mouse buttons and the rear shell. At the side you will find three buttons with an orange tactile bump for your thumb to rest between them as well as a fully customisable OLED display that is capable of displaying 128x36 animated GIFs at 10fps. This can also be used to display in game statistics and events. Pushing the Rival 700 beyond competitors, SteelSeries have implemented a tactile vibration alert. By making the pulses vibrate up and down rather than left/right ensures it doesn't interfere with the sensor tracking. The vibration can be customised to give various signals and alerts in game, E.G. in DOTA 2, it would repeatedly give a slow pulse if you are below 20% HP, or it can give a short sharp vibration to let you know once an ability has cooled down.

Thermaltake Core P3 Chassis Review

When Thermaltake introduced the Core P5 chassis last October it was pretty revolutionary. There really were not cases out there made specifically show off hardware, mount on your wall, act as a table, etc. The Core P5 was a great chassis no doubt, but there were a few issues that Thermaltake needed to address. Fast forward to today and we have the brand new Core P3 Chassis. Thermaltake has made the chassis smaller, added better SSD mounts, and now the chassis has no problem supporting all-in-one liquid cooling systems. Let’s jump in and see what the Core P3 is all about!
