Microsoft has finally started to open up on Palladium, its 'secure OS' project, and there's both more and less to it than meets the eye.
Speaking at a trusted computing seminar in London last week, Microsoft's Palladium general manager John Manferdelli gave an outline of a project that seems both do-able - in the short term, at least - and minimally disruptive to the Windows roadmaps we all know and love.
The trick: it's a sort of secure, parallel OS.
