Koss UR-19 Headphones Review

Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 06/29/2004 04:56 PM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

Zone365 has posted a review on the Koss UR-19 headphones

Koss hasn't really ever jumped out as a real player in the audio arena. I've seen their boom boxes at the likes of Best Buy and their headphones and earbuds just about anywhere that sells audio equipment. If I'm not getting my point across, I've really seen Koss as another generic, run of the mill audio company.

Now, this year, I've read some bits from those who've used Koss equipment, and their headphones were cited as being good and cheap. Something that most of us love to hear---at least I do. Due to some people complaining about turning on the volume at all on my speakers, I've been pretty much forced to go to headphones. I'd picked up a pair of Altec Lansing AHP-5 computer headphones, mainly because they had a volume knob. Unfortunately, they weren't all that great. They weren't the worst thing I've used, but I've certainly had better sound solutions. Additionally, they were the kind that wrap around the back of your head and over your ears. Since I wear glasses (+1 nerd point), extended use left the top part of my ears sore.

Time for something new. Browsing the local Best Buy, I started looking at some home headphones. Like most people, I don't want to pay too much. I ended up walking out of the store with a pair of Koss UR-19 headphones. Let's take a look, shall we?
