PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk III 1200W Review

Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 10/30/2012 10:27 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

Hi Tech Legion posted a review on the PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk III 1200W

Back in the late 1800s, Yamaha was founded as a manufacturer of pianos and reed organs. Now, you could try to take a piano on a dirt track, but I assure you that the results would not be favorable. Of course, you could drop a Yamaha piano on Wile E. Coyote and get the desired results. From a piano and reed organ manufacturer, Yamaha expanded and diversified and for many years were the biggest player in off and on-road motorcycle racing, with their audio electronics looked at as an odd sideline. Surprisingly, to this day, Yamaha remains the largest manufacturer of musical instruments in the world, and are behind some of the finest. They may have branched out, but it was never at the expense of their initial line.

The PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk III 1200W looks to top the market for enthusiast power supplies. The Silencer Mk III comes with both massive power and extreme efficiency. The output is rated at 1200W continuous at 50 degrees Celsius. The Silencer Mk III has been 80PLUS Platinum certified and rated at 92% efficiency. They constructed the Silencer Mk III with a 140mm double ball bearing fan and premium components featuring 1050C Japanese capacitors. There is a modular cable design for ultimate space saving. The Silencer Mk III also features a dual thermal control system with a switch that can operate the PSU in normal and silent modes. There is a powerful single +12V rail with an 99.5A rating. The PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk III 1200W is also backed by a 7 year warranty.
