Webcams are one of those markets where you can spend as little as $10 on sale and as much as $100+ on so-called high end offerings. What really is the difference? Well, some higher end models will offer things like face tracking, zoom/pan and some other software features too. As much as those features will wow a lot of people, some of us just want the camera for one basic thing: a way to be seen and heard online. I was intrigued when Rosewill offered me one of their latest webcams to review, the RCM-8163 Elegant 1.3MP cam with built-in mic. This was only a $25CDN webcam - would it offer good video quality compared to my current cam that I paid over $100 for? Let's see!
