problem installing Sims 2 on disc 3...

Ok so i went out and got sim 2 for my PC.. i meet the installation reqs. but for some reason on disc 3 at 76% it says,

"A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'TSData\Res\Sound\RnB.package' from the media."

I checked the disc for scratches etc.. but there was none.. but i cleaned it anyway t be sure... umm i have tried installing it about 3 times and i keep getting the same error at the same spot at 76%. I would be very pleased if anyone of you could help me out here.

Refer to this thread: http://www.ntcompatible.com/sims_2_installation_t33849.html to copy and install sims 2 to the hard drive.
