I looked under the compatibility guide on this site, and it shows that Kings Quest 8 works, but some problems exist in loading games. However i cannot even start a new game. I am running Win 2000 ver 5.

Network Connections Problem...

Over the course of the W2K beta, and chages in my network hardware, I've created many entries in Network and Dial-up Connections. Now when I create a new connection to my ADSL box via my network card (static IP) I get a popup that says an existing connection already has that IP address.

Trouble with Live!Ware3 and Win2k

I just installed Liveware3 under Win2k 2195. As per the instructions posted on this website. Everything worked, except that when I try to load the Mixer I get an error stating: CTSURMIX. exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.

Aww. . . not ANOTHER tnt2 driver question?? nonono. . just a quick(maybe notso quick) survey. I've been tracking the w2k driver issue for the nvidia cards awhile now. I've noticed a very large difference in opinions for each and every driver release since the introduction of d3d enabled drivers.

Power User get default settings after restart

Hello! I have problems with the Power User group. After every restart (not just after log off-login) the Power Users settnings are defaulted, just like after installation. The administrator on the comupter don´t have the same problem.

ScanJet 6100 install under NT 4.0

Cant get scaner running under NT 4. Installed SCSI Symbios Logic HP version card, seems OK, but after boot-up system finds device - scaner HP C2054. That all, then I try to test scaner with Deskscan 2 v2.

Rogue Spear in Windows 2000

I installed WINDOWS 2000 over Windows 98 (Upgraded) and everything works great. EXCEPT Rogue Spear. I have Voodoo 3 with Win 2000 drivers, 128 MB Ram, PIII with ABIT Motherboard. I get the game to run, but it runs REAL slow.

Uninstall win2k back to 98?

Is there any way to uninstall win2k without totally reformatting to keep windows settings like they were in 98 when you upgraded to 2000? Or do you have to totally reformat? If so, how do you reformat because there is no dos?

OK i have this really annoying problem with windows 2000. Everytime my desktop refreshes, the icons get into ABC order!!! I want my icons to be in a certain order and stay there, not have to worry about having to line up the icons or manually arranging them.

I did exactly what it said under hardware and still no sound. I am running the retail copy of win2000 pro. I have tried installing the s/w wavesynth one and the sb live one and the original one and yet no sound still.
