Sound Blaster Live and No Sound???

This is a discussion about Sound Blaster Live and No Sound??? in the Windows Hardware category; I did exactly what it said under hardware and still no sound. I am running the retail copy of win2000 pro. I have tried installing the s/w wavesynth one and the sb live one and the original one and yet no sound still.
