Yes it's wonderful isn't it?! RPC-pin = region free. It's fast. It's Pioneer. DVD Genie is great! Cyberlink PowerDVD 2. 55 rules. . . BUT. . I get some errors. My system has hickups. . everything pauses a few seconds when I launch a program or whatever.

Sound Problems SB Live! and win2K

I get these wierd crackling sounds when i use my LIVE! SB in win 2k during gameplay. This only happens in games, like Quake 2 and outcast. . . . during weapons discharge. I have altec lansing ACS54 speakers, and the SB lIve!.

Whenever I try to un-Ace a file I get bad CRC error messages. . . . A while ago I saw a link to a supposed fix for this problem under W2K - but of course at the time I didn't need it so didn't bookmark it! Anyone else having the same problem or knows a link to this possible fix?? Thanks.

What's up guys, Got a quick question bout something that's sorta buggin me in Win2k's CD player. Those of you who had MS Plus! 98 will know that it's the same cd player in Win2000 (Build 2195). Anyways, i'm on a university ethernet connection out to the internet.

Auto Starting Task Manager minimised in system tray

Is there a way to start the take manager/performance monitor in the system tray minimised on windows start. CTRL CLT DELTE > Task Managed then minimising isnt a great way to do this. .

How do I force DMA or disable the Use Dma if available startup check ? There are no busmastering drivers available as yet Windows98 works fine with dma checked and with the udma drivers. Anyone help?.

I have acouple of questions. Question 1: I have noticed on several differnet machines with different hardware of the favorites text button on the tool bar not working(sometimes), IE does not freeze, I simply have to click on the Favorites icon and open the frame to the right, but it is annoying.

Does anybody know why I can't change my irq in device manager? I can't uncheck automatic settings because it's greyed out. I want to change the irq of either my nic or my usb controller because both are on 10 and are causing problems.

I just installed Starcraft and applied the latest patch from blizzard. I have the final release of Win2K (2195) too. When I tried playing my friend using a modem the game ran really slow, and the waiting for player: box came up every 15 seconds.

WinDVD2000 won't play DVDs

I have this problem with WinDVD2000. It installs without any problems, but won't play any discs. It only resizes the windows like it should, and spins the DVD for a while. . . But after that, nothing.

I am wondering what services I can disable or alter in order to speed up when I need to play games, (i can always log on as some type of inhumane fragger, cool?!) BTW, I have only redirect my Telnet port to an unknown state and manually disabled this service, is there any way to turn it back-on remotely?!

I've just recieved Win2k and IT'S A BIG SH*T !!!! My TNT2 does not work in OpenGL and D3D and I can't have my 4 speaker with my SBLive : Win2k is the biggest SH@T I ever seen. F@ck Microsoft. F@ck Bill Gates.

Is anyone here successfully playing The Sims under Win2k? I've read elsewhere that it should work despite the anti-NT warning on the box. The app installs ok but when I try to run it spins up the disc multiple times and never shows anything on the desktop.
