Sound Problems SB Live! and win2K
This is a discussion about Sound Problems SB Live! and win2K in the Windows Hardware category; I get these wierd crackling sounds when i use my LIVE! SB in win 2k during gameplay. This only happens in games, like Quake 2 and outcast. . . . during weapons discharge. I have altec lansing ACS54 speakers, and the SB lIve!.

I tried putting in my AWE64, and there was no crackling....is it my Live! card thats defective(which i just got) or is it lack of proper drivers?
i used to the ones were designed for WinNT off the creative site.
