Making movies on my PC

I want to use Windows Movie Maker (suggest any better software by all means) to make machinima movies for someone I know. Can I record a full screen program on my PC with WMM? If not, what kind of cables do I need to attach my PC to my TV or games consoles?.

question about norton recycle bin

Could someone please tell me if it is possible for files to get into Norton Recycle bin if my computer was off? I was looking in the unerase wizard and noticed that there were files in there that were accessed on a date which I was not home.

Diamond Stealth S80 / incompatabile with XP SP2

Just bought a new Diamond Stealth S80 video card, found out it cause all sorts of problems with Windows XP Home Edition (Service Pack 2) Error (0xc0000142) for everything from my Windows profile/user name to my Internet connection.

finally got a machine up & running yesterday. thing is, now every time i boot up, the pagefile has disappeared. i get the, your paging file is too small, & a temp one has been created error msg every time.

Sony DVD ROM (DDU 1621) not reading CDs

I have a Sony DVD ROM (DDU 1621) connected on the secondary IDE cable. It will show up in the BIOS on the master or slave connector on the IDE cable. It also shows up in Device Manager and in My Computer as Compact Disc.

What are ldr.exe, dl11.exe and hooks.dll ?

When I use internet explorer on my NT 2000 O/S PC, a dos window pops up running ldr. exe. Three files appear on C:\, ldr. exe, hooks. dll and dl11. exe, and a process starts 124794. dlr. Both 124794.

Wireless encryption problems

Okay. We are running WEP encryption on our wireless network. On our older dell laptops with XP Pro and Dell Truemobile, it works fine. But our brand new laptops, with XP Pro and Dell WLAN, it only works if you disable encryption on the adapter.

I have been having this problem for the past few days. My IE browser homepage has been hijacked to about:Blank and whenever I changed my homepage back and I made a search the explorer opens a new window to search-to-find.

You do realize that many of the media players rely on UDP from the reciept of said media data packets don't you This is something that's been around for awhile however I'm not sure if I really like something that can potentially flood my connection with useless and possibly DDOS type attacks as a standard

Hi I'm having 2 systems at my place and both are unable to ping themselves and the other. both are connected to a d-link 8 pin hub for which a cablenet pin is connected. i'm able to connect to the net on both the systems but unable to access on another.
