I am trying to set up Win2K Advanced Server with an IBM 300PL, Sony CDU-701F, and Yamaha CDR-4416E, but can't find drivers that work. Any Suggestions??? HELP!.

I don't know if this was answered already and if it was please direct me. Ok, I would like to know how to set up the permissions for a network so that my other computers can see it. But when i set up the permissions for users all I see is users for the computer the folder is on.

twain32.dll not installed correctly

I have a few Multi function devices (printer, copier, scanner) all HP Psc-500's that work fine under XP PRO and Server 2000. When upgrading to the 2003 server I cannot get the twain32_dll to load. An error mesage generates that says it is not correctly installed.

Grandia II launch error?

i'm revisiting some of my old PC games and when i run Grandia II i never get past the boot screen thing (the screen with all the characters on it) after it loads the games just crashes. anybody know whats wrong with it :x.

I am trying to install Wipeout 2097 on a windows 2000 system, but the installation program keeps saying: wipeout 2097 requires win95 to run. I have run the setup prog in compatibility mode, but the same message comes up.

Cleaning out the system32 folder on XP

Where on earth do I begin? It's the single largest folder in the Windows dir (385Mb here) and since most system componants seem to rely on the majority of. exe's and. dll's in here I'm a bit reluctant to start a massive cleaning operation.

Windows XP SP2 install and configuration problems - HELP

I installed SP2 yesterday on my IBM Thinkpad T40. Although it appeared to install without issues, after giving my system a once over I've noticed the following issues: 1) System initially was missing the start menu and taskbar at the bottom of the screen, this rectified itself after rebooting the system twice.

Folder creation causes computer lockup

When trying to down load a file off of the internet and I try to create a new folder in My Documents to down load the file to the computer locks up. I can create file folders any other way and it works fine.

Dual Head - 2 different formats

I trying to run a 17 4:3 LCD and a 30 16:9 LCD monitor. Problem is I have a Matrox 650. I can't set the extended desktop to get wide format. Are there any Graphics card that will run two different formats or am I missing something.

I was reading the posts that said if DirectX would not download to just reinstall SP2. I went to the microsoft website to do this, but I keep getting an error message from ActiveX that says Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page.

How to save images in different formats

I am running Win XP SP2, on most web sites, I can save images as BMP or JPG's, but on one specific site, it will only let me save in BMP. It's not a big problem, 'cause i can simply convert into JPG, but if the images are 2,000 by 2,000 , BMP file is over 11 MB, while JPG would be few hundred KB's, and I'm waisting ...

Sata boot drive, bombs when installing ide drive

I have just finished building a new system. Got a Sata drive and installed xp. Everything was running fine, except modem wont work. Added my old ide so that I could get the data, but it gets a stop error and says to remove the hard drive.
