MOO2 with W2K ... Can't get to work

Formatting NTFS from DOS

Hi, can someone please tell me a way of formatting my C partition (NTFS) that I have XP Pro on from DOS. I have noticed that using the XP disk doesn't do a thorough job and sometimes leaves bugs behind that caused the format in the first place.

I have just installed the following item. After installation I lost internet connection to my other computer. All I can see is an error IP address. I thought if I reinstalled the software for the broadband modem this might correct the problem.

Sound Crackle when BrowseGate active

Hi! Whenever I have my Internet Sharing Software BrowseGate ( ) turned on, my soundcard crackles as soon as my network interface card sends or receives data. (I know it sounds crazy) I already tried a different soundcard but that was even worse.

some programs i use wont load and when i try they say they have encoountered a. dll error and cant continue, this is getting to be a real pain and has been happening ever since windows got re-installed please help.

Darkseed: How to get music to play?

Hi all! Contrary to the NT Compatible list, Darkseed (the original game) DOES run on XP Sp2 with a few tweaks. I'm using VDMS to start it but the beginning music does not run. Anyone have any advice on what else I could try? I'm running P4 3.

Which version of Sun Java is recommended?

A difficult one to answer you might think. But nevertheless I am interested in your opinions (should you have any ). Each new version of Sun's JRE seems to get bigger and bigger, and the only reason I can think of upgrading each time is the potencial security holes that are fixed in each release.

I am having a heck of a time getting half-life to run on my Win2k. I have a Geforce2 400mhz 64 meg video card and running a 400mhz PII with 128 megs of ram. I have tried deleting and re-installing many times and I have tried both a fresh install and with the latest updates.

Hi, At boot, immediately after Intel Raid Bios message is displayed this shows up Error 9 ISM_Hardware_Unsupported. Boot process continues and the system works. What does that message mean? Thanks, System Config: ABIT IS7 P4 3 GHz 512 MB PC3200 Windows XP Pro SP1 ATI 7000 AGP Video.
