help!!!!......computer restarting unexpectedly while playing pc game

hi,while i am playing my pc game,my computer kept on restarting unexpectedly. i could not play my game in peace!!!!!!!!(it restart every 1-5min)can anyone plz help. . . . . . . . . . .

Start Menu Not displaying in Windows XP?

Dear All, For some reason my start menu now doesn't load the programs section. If I switch to classic start menu, then go to programs it says empty, but if i right-click and explore I can find everything under the start menu! I need to use the start menu for several reasons.

I'm administering a Windows 2000 server used as Terminal Server. Some 20+ people are working on that box so the easy way to fix my problem, a reboot, is not possible during working hours. The problem is, there's a couple of files locked (open) by users locally (not over network connection) which I need to delete.

"RECYCLER" Folder created on new partition. Why?

I deleted a 200gb partition and re-created & formatted it. It then had a RECYCLER folder on it. This is not my primary drive in the system, so I checked the other drives and partitions in the system and they do not have the folder.

My friend got a dell pc (old server running win2000) from a company that went bust. She started using it on the internet without any anti-virus. I have managed to remove the viruses by installing AVG but can't remove adware because ad-ware, after starting scan causes isass.

Hey i have copied the directory of Movie Maker 2 to my Windows 2000 pro computer. When i try to boot is says an error: Cannot locate SHParserDisplayName. Is there any way to emulate the windows XP shell32 file or the XP environment to work around this? Thanks in Advance!.

Kind of a silly question, but is there any way to get windowsXP to recognize different font options for the command prompt? I have a few other FON and TTF files installed (some of which support the DOS codepage), but the only options seem to be Raster Fonts and Lucida Console.
