ok, i completly love the sims 2 and the whole idea for ageing and stuff. . . but is thee anyway to turn of the 3-d stuff? i just can't play it cuz i get so frusturated cuz it keeps moving around. if i turn the scroll-edge off, that doesn't help either it just stops it in that position and you can't move around.

I've been able to use war of the worlds for a while now on XP. The trick I used was to use compatibility mode, and set compatibility to win95 (one feature that has proved itself usefull) but I still have a few problems.

Ok, I just downloaded the Kings quest collection. I'm so excited to play these games again! I downloaded VDMS and it SEEMS to be working with the sound problem. The music is fine, I'm running program itself fine.

Half Life 2 sound problem

I have only just bought half life 2 it runs great but there is one problem. I can only hear in game sounds when I am looking in the direction they are coming from, for instance if I was stood with Barney on the very left of the screen i could not hear him very well.

I have the oneclicksearches bug. I have used spybot, microsoft antispyware and adware both on safe mode and regular mode and doesnt work. I have also deleted all suspicious files with hijackthis and as soon as i restart its back again.

New CD roms not reading XP boot disk

I have two cd roms that won't read my xp boot disk. I can pop it in my laptop and it boots right off it with no problems. Why won't my two other new (2 months old) desktop cd roms boot from this disk? anyone know?.

Hello, I have a laptop running Windows XP w/SP2. I have just got a Mentor PCMCIA 2. 0 USB PCMCIA and a usb enclosure for a pioneer 108 dvd-rw. At one point the DVD-RW was picked up and I could read the cds but it was very very slow, even to respond.

I have been dealing with this game for quite some time now. It always seemed to lockup and then crash to the desktop with an error about virtual memory. However, I tried something just by accident and it now runs fine.

I'm not sure what happened but all of a sudden my OS (XP Pro) can't seem to find either my DVD player or the CD burner. Yellow exclamation marks next to each in the Device Mangler with the explanation, Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware.
