HELP! Computer reboots after installing new RAM

AHHH! I don't know much but I didn't think installing more RAM would be this frustrating. I purchased the exact same RAM as what I have but it makes my computer keep rebooting over and over again. I went into BIOS and it shows up so what's up?? Please help.

Has anyone done this or know how to do it? I recently installed the chocobo patch and was able to tick the game and playing in TNT2 mode, the game works fine in the 3D world map mode but when i zone into any place the 2D background becomes black.

I was trying to install HoMM 2 in windows xp, and I had already had to fix the autoexec. nt file so it would actually install, now the setup will load, but before it actually installs, the installshield wizard crashes every time.

New RAM Problems

Please help! I recently purchased some new RAM for my Dell 8200 series. When I installed it the computer stated that it was unsupported and that I needed 40 ns or faster. I had purchased a Samsung 512MB (2 sticks of 256MB) PC800 ECC 45ns, supposedly this was guaranteed to work on my computer.

I have a Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 motherboard, Celeron 2. 53/533, 256 Micron ram and a basic agp video card. I have tried different power supplies, ram, motherboard, and a celeron 2. 66. . . . this thing will just not post.

I am wondering if there is anyway to format my HD with saving alot of the data I have on it, like pictures, music, drivers, windows settings and stuff like that. Is there a way to just totally delete anything i dont want to keep, and gaining some of my PC's old 'out of the box' speed back?.

Hey, I made a simple C program to write a file on a mapped network drive (which is in fact a local directory which I shared and mapped to S:). When I run this program as a user it is able to create a file ( as expected ).

Hi, my machine picked up a virus , the O. S is 2000pro, it managed to get past Outpost, Norton, Adaware se and Spy bot, none of these could find anything wrong so I installed Spyware Dr which did find problems and a mate installed Trojan Hunter which found several more problems.

Scratchy Glitchey sound after installing Half Life 2

My son just installed the game Half Life 2 on a new Gateway laptop. Up until he installed the game, the sound was fine but now it is scratchey or glitchey. Any ideas as to what is causing this and how to correct it.

Hey. I am having a problem with this error and I have read many posts about it but my problem is different than most. I was just on my computer and it froze so I had to shut it down the wrong way. On the reboot I get to the screen where you choose if you want to start up in safe mode or normally.

Accesing Files From A Different Xp Installation

Hey, can any 1 help me with this problem. I have 2 hard drvies both with windows xp installed but the 1 installation is from my other pc and it wont boot so i was wondering is there any way of getting to the files in my documents folder on the o/s that wont boot.

I am replacing a failing 8MB PCI video card on an old NT system. So in a nutshell, I was looking for a very low-end PCI card that is NT compatible. The MX4000 64MB is the closest match I could find locally.

HELP!!! Laptop recovery

I tried to recover my laptop's harddrive and settings. It all goes fine until I get to when the files are being loaded. After a while something pops up that says ? Output A:\Ghost. err and has me select Yes or No.

I have several gmail accounts setup in mozilla thunderbird. For some reason, all the accounts deliver to the same account group Archive and I can not change this. When I compose and send a new email, the email is delivered correctly, but a copy is not stored in my sent items folder in thunderbird.

hi, i have a problem with the toshiba laptop. a week, when i open the my wireless laptop, some of the major file appear to be corrupt, and it told me use the cd-rom try to repair the file. so i restore my laptop by using the toshiba recovery cd.
