MS Sidewinder 3D Pro + w2k

Anyone got any ideas how I can make this joystick work in windows2000? My joystick port is on a vortex2 soundcard which seems to be working fine, but the OS refuses to recognise the joystick. Strikes me as odd (or should that be ironic?) that MS don't support their own hardware in their new flagship OS.

I just threw in a brand new 20. 5 gig deskstar from ibm. its a fat32 format, 1 big partition, and I wanted to upgrade to a dynamic drive so I can commence with software stripping. I dont have my second disk in there, but I jsut wanted to see what a dynamic drive is like.

Has anybody tried using the new dxr3 drivers that was having trouble w/ the old ones? They do say it doesn't support win2k but I doubt that would keep people from trying anyway. .

Does anyone know where I can find GOOD working drivers for my DV500 for W2K ??? There are some drivers on the cd but when I installed, w2k crashes. these drivers worked great in RC2. . . .

I've installed studio 4. 0 for w2k for my miro pc tv card and it works quite well, but if i launch it, i can't use the hibernate function of windows. I do not have any conflict with material and driver.

I have a CMD CSA 65xx scsi controller card. It has drivers for NT and they work fine under NT. They haven't/won't release drivers for win2k. I am sure there must be a way to install the nt drivers in win2k.

I have a burnt version of driver, all the cracks I have used dont work, they bring up an error that says The ordinal 828 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32. DLL i donno what that means, but i think it's win2k's fault.

WarFTP download speed being limited under 2000

It looks like Microsoft sent me a copy of Windows 2000 Pro for no reason. The invoice says price - $0. 00 and on the box there is a sticker that says Promotional Sample. Is this a time limited version? I can't find anything that says so anywhere on the box or the manual.

When i first got my copy of windows 2000 i was unable to install it. i would get to the blue screen after restarting and it would look up all that hardware stuff then it would give that msg on the bottom of the screen saying that windows 2000 is now setting up or something like that.

Hi, I purchased Adaptec Easy CD-Creator 4 on Friday last week. I removed Easy CD 3. 5c from my Win2000 installation, and then installed Easy CD 4. At the end of the installation, it automatically upgraded the version to 4.

I had been running win2k with a 366 celeron @550 fine before. I added a second processor. If i try to boot at 550 then it tells me that my ntoskn. exe is corrupt. But if boot up with dual 366 win2k runs fine.
