Hello all, I am a total newbie to driving games, but I would like to try one. My problem is that the free ones that I have (which have been included with one video card or another) only work in Win 95/98.

I checked the hardware compatibility section of this site, but it wasnt totally conclusive so I thought I'd ask you guys first. I'm about to buy a steering wheel and I'd like to be able to use it in Win2k.

Problems with a 3dfx Desktop TV/FM Under Windows 2000

I have a 3dfx Desktop TV/FM Card and Windows 2000. It seems that 3dfx hasn't supported it for win2k, and I can't find any drivers that allow it to work. Hi. Just installed newest version of Nero. I rebooted, like it asked, go to run the program, and it says win2k generated errors. Doesnt even open the porgram. What am I doing wrong? Reinstalled it 3 times, same thing It should be compatible BoDEAN.

Overclocking geforce ddr. How far?

I have the winfast geforce ddr. i over clocked it with coolbits to 135/335. now my question is, is that little dinky fan ok for it. what is to high resulting in it being to hot? What would be the max recomended overclocking speed? also my athalon 500 is apparently running around 110 with a heatsink and 2 fans on it.

Well, looks like the Imagemate Smartmedia USB reader from Sandisk is a no go for the time being under W2000. I bought one yesterday, brought it home, connected it, and found out there are no drivers built into W2000 for it.

ATX shutdown in Win2K?

I've got a standard Supermicro mid-tower ATX case that turns itself off when win98 shuts down. Shouldn't it do the same with win2K? When I shutdown win2K I get the It is now safe to turn off your PC, but I have to manually hit the power key on the case.

keyboard driver prevents hibernating?!

I enabled succesfully the Hibernate support (control panel, power options), but if I want to Hibernate (or use Stand by) I get every time the following error: The weird thing is that the standard driver (!) prevents the hibernating.

W2k shutdown doesn't power down

I have an ATX motherboard and case. Under Win 98 and NT4 the machine would shutdown correctly - Win98 would power down and NT4 would allow the front panel power switch to power off. Win2000 leaves a message that you may turn off your computer but the front panel switch is disabled.

Is anyone else exp this, when I set 2K to shut down my hardrive after a certain amount of time, they never shut off, and the computer will not come back up. I am forced to do manual restart when I do I rcv a different error every time, restart again, and everything works fine.
