Monitor causes lockups on NT4

When I try to test different refresh rates on NT4 (Workstation) my setup (K6-3 40Mhz, MVP3-mobo, 128Mb RAM, MX300, V3 2000) My computer will go to a blank screen and freeze, this is rather annoying since it means I can't play games since it locks up when a resolution change occurs.

I Installed office2k, and with it the picture editor. . and when I went to open a pic, it opened in that instead of IE, like I want it to, so I uninstall pic editor, and try to open again. . it wants a file association.

NT Server 4.0 & Frontpage 2k problem

I've used Frontpage 2000 on my Win95 machine with no problem. The problem i'm having with my NT Server is that when I select one of the default Themes that are included in Frontpage, and I click ok, all that appears is the background of the theme and not the -> Banner,Forward button, Back Button, Lines or anything.

Hi people, I got a Compaq Armada with an Armadastation running Windows 2000 Professional. Everytime, when I plug my notebook into the station, the station begins to beep. If I disable the IR port, the beeping stops.

It's time to upgrade my mobo/cpu, right now I have a PII 266 with 192 MB of ram. I'm considering dual Celerons around 500 Mhz or an Athlon system around 700-800 Mhz. I still use Win98 for a few programs.

Win2k shortcut key doesn't work anymore?

Hi, I was tweaking my win2k with tweakUI yesterday with the tweak3d's win2k tweaking guide. But somehow after that, my windows' shortcut key don't work anymore. e. g. win-r, win-e, win-break. The win key itself is working to call the startmenu, but it just can't conjuct with the normal shortcut, e.

ok, i had the winfast geforce ddr, but the fan stoped moving at full speed, so i took it back and paid 20 more and got a guillemot hercules 3d prophet ddr-dvi geforce. it is the best on the market. well my winfast worked fine with the 5.

Hey Guys. . . I got a Sidewinder Pro gamepad and if I goto the Control Panel>Game Controlers> I can see the Sidewinder Pro and it tests out OK, I can test all of the buttons and calibrate the joystick everything works OK.

W2K drivers for Adaptec 2930U2???

Poor support service. . . Adaptec has not released any Windows 2000 drivers for the PCI card 2930U2. I'm thinking in buy a Promise Fastrack66 and 2 Maxtor Diamond 40Mb each one. . . I am fed up of Adaptec SCSI monopoly.

Installing 98 SE w/ 2000

I was wondering I am running windows 2000 Pro. I have a few apps that will not run on it, due to being older apps. I want to dual boot win 98, is this possible w/ out having to reinstall 2K again. If so what is the best way to go about doing that? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

is anybody running wintv usb on win2k? the driver doesn't seem to be working properly. i extracted the inf files from the setup file i downloaded from hauppauge. i used winace to do a extraction. any help would be really appreciated.

Hello!!! My system: P2 celeron dual 500 Voodoo 3500 Beta 2 w2k drivers 128 megg ram!! Well, now I have tested w2k up against w98. I realize that W98 still have the best performance in games since Voodoo don't support smp in 3d.
