W2k 2195 and toshiba sd-m1102 DVD

I have a Toshiba sd-m1102 2x DVD and I just can't get it to work in Win2k. It shows correct info in Device Manager but both soft and hard eject aren't working. I have an epox emvp3g-2 with Via's mvp3 chipset.

Hey, Is there a way to run defrag from 'schedule tasks'? Not just to turn the program on, but to run it (i. e. at 5 in the morning, my computer defrags one of my partitions and then another) without my intervention? Is there a way? Otherwise, what is the whole point of 'scheduled tasks'? - Napalm.

I was wondering if anyone can get NBA Live 2000 to work under Windows 2000. I have an ATI Rage 128 and I d-loaded the new special drivers but my computer still resets when I try to play. Any help is appreciated!!.

I installed the latest Vortex2 drivers and 3d sound is great with the mx300. I get full 4 speaker support. The fantastic addition to my system is that now, when I try to access my 3. 5 floppy drive, I get a lock-up from hell.

MPS 1.4 vs 1.1 (BP6)

Like many of us,I am still looking for a solution to eliminate all the unstability (random hard lockups, sometimes in Q3)on my W2K w/ BP6 dual celery. One variable that I wasn't sure was the MPS setting in the BP6 BIOS.

I have had a really weird USB issue that I have always suspected to be H/W BP6 defect, until I heard that my brother who was also running a BP6 dual celery w2k config had a similar (but not the same issue).

Need to know how to restore the boot loader of win2k without going through the installation process again. Also along with that need a good boot menu that I can use to boot winME and Win2k and BeOs. Seeing how beos is just really an application and not a real OS installation (in terms of autobooting like other OS') ...

No TV Support In Win2k!

I just got an email from Avermedia about my Aver TV/Phone TV/FM tuner. They said it will NOT be supported in win2k! I am pissed. Anyone have a tv tuner that does work in win2k (must have good stereo sound and prefferably an ir remote)?.

I upgraded from 98 to W2Kver5. 00. 2195 I am using a 16 meg Apollo Banshee Video Card. I am trying to get Janes Fighter Anthology and USAF to work. Both are supposed to be compatible. When I dble click the icon my screen goes black, see some colours for a min and back to the desktop I go.

The stupid software for this camera won't run properly. It gives me a blue screen everytime I try to run it. It says something about LVcam2. dll. I used the win2k drivers that came with the CD. The only thing that works is net meeting and the picture quality is sooo grainy.

ok, i got a new geforce, i took out my old one becasue the fan broke, i replaced it with a new one. and when i did that, it setup the drivers for it (5. 13). i had just downloaded the drivers and put them in a folder.

I've experimented with most of the drivers available and was wondering what the most stable win2k/athlon/geforce driver is. I have a leadtek DDR and use the tvout sometimes, but it isn't totally needed in compatibility.

HELP!!!! I was attempting to fix random lockups on my W2K Pro retail running in MPS with a BP6 board. I installed the latest QQ BIOS and updated my computer driver from MPS Computer to ACPI MPS Computer (and enable ACPI/disable APM in the BIOS).

Hi, This morning when I turn up the monitor, I found that my monitor doesn't reponse to my mouse movement, and got some weird strips on it. So I rebooted, the same happens during the bootup screen, and see nothing but dark on the desktop(win2k).

I installed the Creative win2k drivers but when trying to install Unified it stopped and said I had to have a riva card. Lame I have GeForce. Does anybody have the glide2(3)x. dll file from Unified?? If anyone want to know why the hell I want Glide is because of Rollcage 2, D3D doesnt work but Glide does.

Folders pane won't go away

If I posted this before please forgive me! No matter how i set Remember folders view settings or Use Classic desktop/folders i cannot stop the left (folders) pane from showing up every time i open control panel.
