Folders pane won't go away

This is a discussion about Folders pane won't go away in the Slack Space category; If I posted this before please forgive me! No matter how i set Remember folders view settings or Use Classic desktop/folders i cannot stop the left (folders) pane from showing up every time i open control panel.

If I posted this before please forgive me!

No matter how i set "Remember folders view settings" or Use "Classic desktop/folders" i cannot stop the left (folders) pane from showing up every time i open control panel.

Any suggestions out there?
