Does it run under NT then???? Anyone had success. I have read all the postings about issues under W2K but wondered if it is officially supported under NT4 too. .

Hi! I have win2k pro installed and i wanna use ( or better i have to use ) a programm called netmodem, which works great with W95/98. is there any dos/win95/98 emulation mode or so ? cause win2k says that he cant load the damm netmodem.

dualbooting win2k win9x with 4 part @ 2 gigs, somehow, for no apparent reason my folders get strange names and become unaccessable, r,x&w. only prob i seem to have is that my v3 and 3com nic share irq 12.

Windows 2000 and System Locale

I live in the UK, and have purchased a Windows 2000 upgrade from NT4. Windows 2000 itself runs fine, and I don't really have any problems with it. However, it niggles me that the System Locale is set to English (United States).

Does anyone know what differences is betveen 3. 81 and 3. 84 drivers? I'm having some problems related to 5. 14 drivers. 1. I'm having some random lock ups. One lock up in a day or two. 2. Color palette is messed up.

I need some advice on upgrading. My current system configuration is listed below. I am trying to decide if I should get a celeron 566 and overclock it to around 800 mhz, or buy a Pentium 600 mhz I play Q3a, Flight Sim 2000, FLY2k!, and Half life.

I've been running Win2k Pro for about a month and its been very stable until a day ago. I was typing an email in Outlook Express and got a BSOD that said a driver corrupted the memory managment PTE, after which it rebooted.

Win2k with Virtual (IrDA) Com Port ???

Hi, is there a way to get Win2k to have the IrDA port mapped to a virtual com port like in Win98 ?? I want to use an application which only supports COM ports but I need to connect to a device (mobile phone) over a IrDA connection.

When I connect to the internet using an external modem (3 com US Robotics 56K), it just reboots my system without even giving me a nice BSOD (note:I've unchecked the automatically reboot on failure checkbox found in System Properties-> Startup and recovery.

Help Solve Half Life Problem

Just put the Nvidia 5. 16 drivers on my system, for my CL TNT2 Ultra. RUnning win2k. Now when I try running Half life, I get Half Life requirers 16 bit color. Please set desktop to this. . . . No idea why I get this.
