Don't know about you guys/gals, but one thing I missed under Windows 2000 was the Command Prompt Here Power toy. Well, I spent this afternoon fiddling with the inf from the Windows 98 Powertoys collection and came up with the following - It fully supports installation and uninstall via the Add/Remove Programs applet.

A big thumbs down to the Creative Labs driver development team for their removal of support for the PCI128. There are some people who are going to be pis5ed off. I just hope that they don't have similar thoughts about the live series.

I'm about to buy Sound blaster Live! Xgamer tomorrow and was wondering if it's actually recommended for Windows 2000? I heard bad things with their new Live Ware for windows 2000 drivers. And is it worth the extra $100 to get SB Live! platinum instead or would I notice that big of a difference?.

My Win2000 Pro is unstable as hell. When I play games it suddenlyfreezes, sometimes after 30mins, sometimes after 2hours. It also has a tendency to freeze in regular windows. My system is perfectly stable in WinME (but Win2k is so much better), so it's not because of my OC CPU, it's running at 25-28degrees celsius ...

Strange! My main machine is W2K final (paid for with hard-earned money). So far so good. . . I installed old RC3-2183 on my secondary machine because I didn't want to install the same version again because of licence/legal stuff.

Win2K drivers for Intel® USB PC Camera Pro Pack

I just upgraded my machine to Win 2k and everything works except for my Intel Web cam. Intel's web site says they are not supporting Win 2k, but the Win98 drivers should work. I've tried the USB drivers, but are not able to get the system to recognize the camera correctly.

Ground control and 2000?

I just picked up Ground Control, and for some reason, software mode runs better than hardware! System: -Windows 2000 Pro -PIII 733 Coppermine -256MB RDRAM -90GB HD (45+30+20) -TNT1 16MB PCI (it's not the card, as I can get amazing FPS in other games, in both OpenGL and D3D) ~noxa~

Installed Nero5, burned CD, cdrom drives disappeared....?

I installed Win2kpro on an abit bp6, 2 HDs, 1 CL 6424 ide burner, and 1 pioneer DVD 104s. I had all this running perfectly for a couple days. I installed adaptec easy cd creator deluxe 4. 02 and it did not work at all (?) so I removed it and installed Nero 5.

Voodoo 3 3000 Win2K Problems!

I have a voodoo 3 3000 AGP and it doesn't seem to run to well under win2k! I'm pretty sure its the drivers or something! I do have the latest drivers but something is wrong! Games lag, Movies that should go 30fps go like 17fps and so on.

Anyone Managed to get Soul Reaver working?

Lo there, Has anyone managed to get soul reaver legacy of kain working in Win 2000 ? I tried to run it last night and what happened was the opening Eidos logo starts then slows down dramatically, after that the videos and logos take maybe 10 mins before i get to the main screen.

DUN errors

when ever i connect to the internet in Win2k i get an error in the DUN status window, under the Received section. I get it immediately after i have dialed in, and my pass/username is verified. I have to wait about a minute before i can receive any data after this.
