I am building a new computer and am looking for some advice. I am getting an abit bp6 and 2 celemine 600's. I know that the abit board does not support fcpga due to the voltage problems. SOOOO I am getting the neo-s370.

Fifa 2000 works!

On a whim, I re-ran Fifa 2000 on my Win2K Pro system after a long hiatus and, to my astonishment, it worked. I have a BX board with a TNT2 and an SBLive!. 5. 32 Detonator drivers. Live!Ware 3. Vanilla Win2K Pro with all the Windows Update patches, no SP1.

Sim Theme Park wont work for me on windows 2000. How come?

Slot 1 - Socket 370 converters?

Hi, Seen plenty of 'socket to slot' converters doing the rounds. Would allow me to insert a 'FlipChip' PIII into a slot1 motherboard. Do converters the other way around exist? IE. To plug a Sloti PIII 650 Coppermine into one of the forthcoming 815 chipset motherboards? If they do, who makes them? Cheers as always.

Is there anyway to replace the ntoskrnl. exe in W2k? It seems to be crashing whenever I do a virus check. . . Or would W2K SP1 have a new version that I should wait for?.

Is it possible to get a higher monitor refresh rate under w2k when running games like quake 3 arena with a NVidia TNT card using the detonator2 ? I have only 60 Hz. In D3D games it is possible to all refreshrates i want with the D3D overwrite feature.

I know that this is potentially a problem-laden system. . . so any help would be greatly appreciated. BSODs for the first time really in Win2k I'm running a Creative Labs Annhilator Pro on Det. 5. 32 at AGP4x, but not fastwrites(screwed up the system) I'm running a Creative Labs SB Live! with the LiveWare 3 drivers.

Hey all, mildly annoying issue here, about 2 weeks ago, when I went to restart my win2k pro machine, I noticed it gets all the way past the saving settings part, then it acts like its gonna restart, and just hard locks, to where I have to manually shut it off and turn it on.

I know, I know. . . . INFERNO2000? YOU ASKING ABOUT WIN98? Shaddup. If I install it, I get a 1 GB HDD for free. It's for my parents' computer, I installed Win98SE on their P1 100 (48MB RAM). . . and after it resets the second time(when it's getting ready to go into the OS itself), it says Windows File Protection Error.
