Whistler Locks up !?

I dont understand what happens. I can run Quake 3,Counter Strike, while running other programs. and try to do just about anything to Run the hell outta Whistler. But when i am just sitting there running IE or talking on AIM or Downloading it will just turn to a blue screen and restart.

not necessarily a win2k question though i am running it, but what speed processors can this board support, and how. . . . supermicro claims p3 600, but i know ive seen the board sold with p3 850s in it anyone that can help me please post.

Need Opinions on CD Drive

F*cking Compaq. They released a firmware update for my model of computer, but don't mention(until I call them for tech supportsee also half an hour on hold while the guy looks for standard info) the fact that it was was for Slot, rather than Track DVD players.

TNT2 M64 & Nvdia drivers

Memory Swapping Issue

Iv tried the NetOptomiser program from win2k, and used its disable paging exectuive and large cache options, but found they hate up way too much of my 192 meg ram very quicly, so i turned them off again, rebooted, but im not sure if its actually reverted or not.

Win2k, SP1, DUN & IIS - Help

Hi, A major problem that is bugging the hell out of me. I have Win2k Pro, IE 5. 5 and DUN. All worked fine. I then decided to install SP1 for Win2k. Now my DUN and IIS do not work - when I say work I mean I can dial out, connect to the internet but can cannot get mail or web pages to load.

Overclocking a PIII 500 Katmai--curious as to predicted resu

I just bought a new motherboard(Tekram P6Pro-A+ for $52 on ebay). . . Via Apollo Pro 133 chipset. I'm going to be overclocking my PIII 500 katmai(pre-Coppermine) from my Compaq with it. I'm curious if I can reasonably expect to get to the 133 mhz FSB (666 Mhz CPU).

Win2k Sp1 disk space - How much???????

Query on the amount of disk space the SP1 download takes. I run Win2k Professional and when I instlled it I have the Sp1 folder, about 140 meg, and the backup, over 200meg. Seems alot. Can I delete any of these as approx 400 meg i total is alot space gone in a flash.

Hello, I installed IRC on a machine running NT4 and DirectX 5 patch is installed. It works fine, but I got no sound. Anyone having an idea, or experience qith this games under NT, maybe with NT DirectX 3 ? Please help.

does my asus cusl2 + p3 700 always on reboot clock in @466 or 701 mhz, wether i have oc:ed it or not (it runs very stable oc:ed ) it only does this when i cold boot. . .

Ok I am currently running Win2k and love it, only problem is that I want to do some video editing with my PCTV pci and none of the video editing software that came with it works with win2k so I have decided to dual boot.

I apologize for the vague subject line. Now, for the info. I have a Win2k Pro box that I use 99. 5% of the time. I do a lot of gaming on it and various other network related activities. I tend to go to many LAN parties over the course of a year and my computer usually ends up on various networks.
