I initialy had ICS working fine in whistler, now when i boot up, the sharing box is not selected, and when i tried to enable it to the first few times i got the message Sharing Could not be enabled. Catastrophic Failure.

I just installed VP3 and can't seem to get it to work properly. The demo of VP3 worked fine on this same system, so I'm not sure why the actual game doesn't. Here's all the particulars: I'm running W2K with Service Pack 1.

I was wondering if there is a website where I can check out lists and lists of bioses and downloads for them for older style motherboards. The reason why is that I have an old K6-2 motherboard and the manufacturer's website has been down for days.

Newbie Converting from Fat32

When I did the install, I converted from Fat32 to NTSF. How do I go about doing the same to my other two hard drives? Partition Magic 5 doesn't work with Win2K. Also, is there a way I can log into windows without seeing the Login name pop up at boot? (I'm a single user) Thanks all.

DirectX 8.0 question.

By installing DirectX 8. 0 (Windows 2000) do I override the Livewire 3. 0 DirectX 7. 0 drivers correct? So in other terms you don't need to download Livewire 3. 0 drivers for DirectX because it's already supplied with Direct 8.

Anyone know how to get MSDOS Client 3. 0 to work on fast computer. . . it keep crashing as processor speed problems. . . or is there any Dos network client out there that I can use to connect with Netbeui or tcp/ip protocol.

Just heard from someone that in the news it says that 3Dfx is calling it quits, they will only make chipsets for other companies now. 3dfx changes direction ? by Thomas McGuire @ 14:33 Apparently they are.

gravis xterminator non-digital driver problem

the drive at the link above gives me a ntgrip error every time i try to play a game even in no one lives forever (I got joystick disabled on) and I don't have a USB version. the main page list the gravis as working good using the drivers link below but the link does not work.

Problems w/ Madden 2001

I bought Madden 2001, installed it, fired it up, watched the intro video, then BOOM! noticed that text in all of the menus are garbled out. Anything that contains text, is blocked out in hyroglyphics.

Sydney 2000 & DirectX 8 + NVidia 7.17

You can play Sydney 2000 almost in Software-Mode, because that game can't detect any Direct3D-Device with DirectX8. Eidos Interactive said to me, that there will be no patch in the further future, cause the problem is DirectX and MS.

Tony Hawk 2, can ya help?

I can't get Tony Hawk 2 to run in win2k even with the utilities to fool the game it's running in win98. I'm brand new to Win2K, but man, o man, I sure Miss tony hawk. I saw in the compatablility list it runs, but mine doesn't.
